SPLISH SPLASH 2010 ~ South to North Race!

On Sunday 24th October, get ready for the first time ever....A race that will go down in history, never to be forgotten!

A race from SOUTH TO NORTH on JET SKIS!

Here are all the details:-

Start time: 1pm
Start Venue: San Fernando Yacht Club

Destination Venue: Anchorage (Tsunami Beach Club)

FIRST SKI TO REACH WINS!!!!!!!!

Competitors Briefing Meeting

Date: Sunday 24th October 2010
Time: 10am
Venue: San Fernando Yacht Club

Competitors are required:
>Approved life jacket
>Proper footwear
>Extra gas for those riding back down

Registration: $100 (San Fernando Yacht Club's launching fee, excepting SFYC's members)

There are 10 support boats going along for the ride in case of anything.

The Trinidad & Tobago Coast Guard was informed of the race taking place and will be lending assistance once available.

Also a private helicopter will be following the race from above for even more safety.

We believe it's the pirates that needs to watch out.

If the team or committee members needs any assistance call me I making the trip to south and following the skies till the finish line via boat ( I sure I could keep up with the fastest ski ) :evil:

Good day

To all competitors:

Please be advised that we will be doing a competitors briefing meeting at 10AM, to discuss all safety factors, rules & regulations involved, so please be early.

Also you are required to wear an approved life jacket and proper footwear. For those who don't have, there will be available for sale.

Those who will be riding back down to south are required to bring extra gas in a proper container to refuel at the destination point. The gas will be allowed to be stored on the support boats.

Non-members are required to pay an entry fee of $100, which will be used to cover the launching fee imposed by the San Fernando Yacht Club.

Hott 93 will be doing trophies for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place. The 1st place will be a challenge trophy.

But all those competing will be getting something for participation.

Yes they can. The newer bigger skis can go from south to north and return on one tank of gas at a cruising pace.

Most of them holding average 18 Gallons (70 liters) of gas
