What are the requirements to transfer a vehicle on death of the registered owner of a vehicle?

REQUIREMENTS TO TRANSFER A MOTOR VEHICLE
(ON DEATH OF A REGISTERED OWNER)
The following documents are required:


The applicant must be at least seventeen (17) years of age, in order to successfully register or transfer a vehicle.

In case of the death of the registered owner of a motor vehicle, the legal heir or any other person into whose possession the vehicle shall lawfully come, for the purpose of transfer must apply in person to the Transport Commissioner who will advise on the appropriate steps to be taken in each case.

The required documents are as follows:
a). Death Certificate
b). Two forms of Identification: ID/Driver's Permit/Passport
c). Original and copies of the Letter of Administration or Probate of Will 
d). Certified Copy of Ownership (Not older than three (3) years)
e). Insurance in the new owner's /applicant’s name
f). Receipt for sale based on double transfer


Transfer of a vehicle upon the death of the registered owner of the vehicle under Doctrine of Survivorship

Death Certificate

Certified copy of ownership (Not older than 3 years )

Two (2) Forms of Identification

Insurance in the new owner's name

Statutory Declaration

*The vehicle to be transferred must be brought to the Licensing compound.

Goodday all does my car have to be inspected to be transferred? an can I do an engine change the same day of being transferred

Guys is there any change to transfer at the Caroni office with covid. Do I just go with the seller?

When transferring the buyer need a recent utility bill on their name as well.

New requirement to confirm buyer's address is up to date.

Rumor has it that they getting ready to mail the tickets straight to your front door.

they are now checking engine number for transfers

happened to me in south in Dec 2021

Ok so quick question...

I have a 2013 car foreign used but registered 09/ 2016. Going to sell it now .... Will the transfer be 3000 or 1350 ?

They go by registration date not manufactured date so it will be the 3000

Strange enough I have a PDL vehicle and the certified copy says 11/30/2017 as the date of registration.. when the chart says Jan-April 2016… hmm
