Where is this 'budget marine' u speak of?
What size/capacity/rating shackles would be recomended?
This would be for a full load 4x4 , not just stuck in mud but if it down the side of a hill.

Budget marine is going into carenage on the right hand side, they have all different sizes, rule of thumb is always get equipment to handle double the weight of ur truck!

Want to come. Awaiting permission. I don't have any straps or other equipment like that though. Bone stock 4x4 frontier with road tyres, not even AT. Would it still make sense to come?

Shackles 3/4 in are normally preferred....

Btw dwn d side of a cliff or precipice wld mostly mean winch recovery in gd judgement and as such more controlled pulling forces and simpler recovery resistance loads, but being bogged down in mud normally sees the recovery by means of tugging (ie if u are nt self recovering) and this tugging causes shock loads and as such is more dangerous...

What it is, we have some ole land in morouga, and I want to start planting, but when rain falls u can't pass there for a couple of days. Then the sides of the trails are steep.
All in all, u need a well prepared vehicle to be able to get in and handle any mishaps.

I building a vehicle to work the land. But preping to you guys standards would make it sufficient. Going on some trails with you guys would help me learn he do's and the don'ts in safe company... With competent back up

You should be able to get your shackles at TOSL in Marabella or at Allied tools on the cross
