Safety will be of utmost importance and we really do not wish to be having to force this issue. Our Scrutineers shall be very strict and any challenges they face, their instructions are to politely ask the competitor to move aside while the concerns raised will be taken up with the Officials. Funny the challenges we faced at the last event were not related to defects in the cars/bikes, but had to do with the manner some competitors were trying to breach the systems we have put in place. Simply put….. EVERY competitor must have completed and submitted an entry form, and only then can they approach the Scrutineers. On Race day, the scrutineers will have the entry forms, and the competitor is expected to pass all of the safety checks listed on the scrutineering form.

We expect that we shall be starting scrutineering from 11:00am on Saturday. ONLY when cars and bikes are scrutineered and have the OK stickers prominently displayed on the windscreen, will said competitors be allowed to proceed to the racing area.

The information on the ENTRY FORMS WILL BE USED TO BUILD A FULL DATABASE LISTING WITH ALL INFO. FOR ORGANIZSERS TO HAVE ON HAND, IN THE INSTANCE AN INCIDENT ARISES THAT WILL REQUIRE AMBULANCE TAKING ANYONE TO HOSPITAL.

HELMETS, MUST NOT BE OLD/DATED, BUT HAVE SAFETY STANDARDS OR RATINGS AS INDICATED ON OUR SCRUTINEERING FORMS/CHECKLIST.
AND ALSO MUST HAVE DRIVER’S BLOOD TYPE CLEARLY DISPLAYED.

Briefing meeting will be on Thursday at 7:00pm, where the final entries will be accepted - no late entries after this deadline.


The Saturday timetable is as follows:

Scrutineering from 11:00am.

Timing System will be up from 1:00pm for free practice.

Perfect reaction time will be 0.00

Competition will be Heads-up.

1st Session Runs – 2:00pm to 4:00pm – All competitors.

2nd Session Runs – 4:15pm – 6:15pm - All Competition runs to determine what Bracket you will be racing in. At the end of this session all competitors must Confirm and Sign Bracket Declaration Form.

Competitors who miss part or all of this Session will have to declare their Bracket notwithstanding their excuses.

3rd Session Runs – 6:30pm – 8:30pm – Qualifying runs. Competitors run in their respective Declared Brackets, and depending on the number of Competitors in the Bracket, the top 8 or top 6 or top 4 will be selected to move on to finals.

4th Session Runs - Finals – this will be a knockout coming down to the two finalists. Time-permitting, the final run can be the 2 best in 3. Or one run, to determine Bracket Winner.

Please note that safety will be a major focus in the staging of this Event. Competitors must ensure that they satisfy standards set out on the scrutineering form, especially as this relates to Roll Cages in the faster Brackets.

Also when the Competitor confirms a Bracket, the competitor must register at least one run within the Bracket time.

And again advising that no entries will be accepted after the briefing meeting on Thursday 26th November.

Tents are being installed today, our tent provider doesn't have any more tents, over eighty tents are being installed. However, for the later entries, a competitor can arrange his own tent provider and have them installed no later than Friday. We apologise for the inconvenience.

Thank you Street Side Productions for a very well put together 1/2 hour video on WIN TV. Some of the drivers profiled were Sharaz Hosein, Valmickey Dinnoo and Ian Atherley. The only downside was, it was too short.

This drag event was very well run with no mishaps. Safety was of utmost importance and strictly adhered to.

Great event that had outstanding drivers with exceptional vehicles!
