this indeed was a weird part of the event for me and had me a bit baffled. I along with others would like some clarity on this matter.

Can anyone give some details on this!!

Yes will like some clarity on this as well, As i am in GT1B, what happened? No where in the world rules are changed on competition day on the line on the final run. Car 109 broke out under competition rules, an got first place...Clarify??

Got the info the break out was taken out in our best interest to keep fair play, thanks Mr Rawle.

I don't have the answer.
[all my opinion]I do believe they wanted the cars to run without a limit to get a better idea of each vehicles potential.
There are vehicles with power adders that exist out of the scope of the engine cc rules. As such, they tried to get an actual factor of such.[all my opinion]

We must comment on the classification of cars in our D&W #3 Championship competition. We now have a very good indication of times being run by most competitors, and can clearly see who should be in the A Class, and who should be in B. This, after deliberately not declaring any breakout limit FOR THAT LAST Event only!

This just was not done at all, so it is incorrect to say it was only done for the finals. And we did indicate earlier on in the year that to determine the breakout time we would set it at minus one second from the faster cars in the class. And this turned out pretty accurate.

And we are convinced that we now have a truly accurate position on the majority of competitors

We have had queries/appeals/comments from several competitors, which pushed us to even take a closer look at having as fair a separation in Class as we possibly can.

It's by times, not HP like Soledex, I just try harder, I guess. I tend to pay more value to brakes, suspension and tyres than HP, but as you know, I have to try to get more HP now, just to have a fighting chance, I can't be the 'Best Man' all the time, I want a 'Cherry too'.

So why you all went back to this old thread when there is D&W 4.

But as Clive is politely trying to say the Classification is not about the car, but about the "Class" of the driver!

Hoping to confirm one query I have sent out and post results later today, and a full report that says in part:

"And taking a look at one of the more desired prizes to be won, the Best Reaction Time, it is just incredible that the difference between the top five drivers was a mere 4/1000th of a second. This is determined by the competitors launching off from a standing start just as the starting lights turn green – on this occasion this was won by the very mature and possibly most experienced driver, Clive Sugden in his Subaru STI registering a .501 seconds Reaction Time."
