but i think we gonna need to have qualifying / practice on saturday .... and competition / drifting / and grudge matches on sunday the way the sport is growing.

Just a lil reminder, that fantastic "Race Track" in T&T is made available to us on a Sunday.
The people who own it, ARC, are so kind to us.
They have "their" Event, horse racing on Saturday, and "they" use "their" Car Park on Saturday.

Now is like you want to put them out?? LOL!

Anyway, thanks for all of the positive comments, and we assure that there will be more accommodation for parking and twice as much covered bleacher accommodation come the 14th April.

yesterdays even had to be the biggest one ever, it was so nice to see the large turnout, who wasnt there really missed a mind blowing event, this could not have been possible without the cooperation between all involved, autosport management, competitors, sponsors and spectators all came together and did their part to ensure yesterdays success

i fully understand that ... lol ....was just kidding.

but i wasn't pleased to hear it was one run knockout runs ...and then one run finals .. not allowing the competitors to switch lanes all to save time.

Really was a nice event. Dunno why other organizers like TTASA can't learn a thing or two. Keep up the good work guys.

Now look at all the positive comments supporting Autosport's endeavour in keeping Motorsport alive, with an event that incorporates almost all disciplines, even assisting the drifters with their development.

We all are aware that TTASA is on a mission to start walking upright and adjust objectives to include all, but to date their absence is noticeable at such an outstanding event with a proper display of management, one in which they could emulate for example. This lack of support is not at Drag & Wind alone, but at all other Motorsport activities, and really makes me wonder if their quest is real.

In all, a well done to Autosport, and kudos to the drivers and patrons for having patience and discipline in such a tight space..... And to uncle Clive, Sir, you were dearly missed..

If Autosport has the overall results per class, I am sure people (including me) would like to see how everyone did.

And this may very well justify going back to the original classification of running in a time-bracket similar to Drag Racing......

Drivers with similar times will be challenged to run together, not withstanding car/tyres/turbo/AWD.... good looks!

Thanks Rawle. I know that every effort is being made to ensure a fun yet competitive environment. The rules are set for the year and I fully understand the need to carry it out to the end of the year, it is only fair to everyone to do so.

The request for overall standings was only to satisfy my curiosity of how everyone did, nothing to do with the classing discussion.

Oh, and I still need to be added to the email list: fixables@hotmail.com

I managed to reach up respresenting the TTMN (Trinidad and Tobago Motorsport News) group and It was quite wonderful ! I finally got to attend my first ever D&W Event.
It was actually Funny walking to the Pits and thinking I need a Pit pass or someone going and stop me or something lol Entry Fee extremely pleasing.
Event ran smooth with no set backs and lots of competition and huge spectator turnout. Functioning Timing System and Display. Categories and Classes well managed. All the sponsor personnel and advertisements all over was impressing also making the event look even more Exceptional!!
This is how I expect an event to be in these times!! Love , Thought, Support and Unity.

Even before we publish our report on D&W #2, we would like to say a special thank you to all of our competitors who supported our call for sponsoring a bougainvillea plant as part of their entry fee for this Event. The intention being to have these beautiful flowering plants on the perimeter of the lands cleared to the South and eventually enhance the environment.

And also mention the presence at this Event of the youngsters from the Sunday School, who enjoyed their first ever Motor Sport Event, special thanks to the wife of competitor Kendal Chai.

This is the kind of sportsmanship we have to endorse and encourage, especially coming from the youngest racers!

would have really loved to see the GTR and EVO run best 2 out of 3.

maybe next time, as a tight schedule may not have permitted this

Already addressing all of the concerns especially keeping that promise to start early, by 10am. Then we can assure al D&W competitors of their full runs, and best 2 in 3 in the final shootout.

Note the R35 red -lighted in that final run, but when the "jump" time is added to his actual ET, he was just that bit faster.
35 4A 51.538 -0.070
17 4A 51.726 0.181
But a red light is an immediate loss, so so debate here.

Improvements on the PA, increased parking, increased covered bleacher accommodation being addressed.

Not sitting back at all.

You would have to wait for D&W #4, unless they have a grudge match.

I would be back out for #3. The 2 out of 3 would be between Kristien and I. LOL (wishful thinking)

Way to go!

So we shall set up a course with these three giants running at the same time.
Will have to get the North Stand installed at ARC!
