WTK: Kia Sportage light issue

Good day, I have a PCS Kia Sportage, with gas engine. When I start the vehicle and turn on the lights, they flash rapidly. This only stops when the driver seatbelt is worn. This only started happening recently. I bought the car 2nd hand about a year ago and this never happened before. Any ideas an this issue. Thanks.

I had a similar issue with my used car where the lights would flicker when I started it, and it turned out to be a battery connection that wasn’t tight enough. Since yours stops flashing when you buckle up, it might be related to the warning system, but I’d definitely check the battery and wiring just to be safe. If it keeps happening, a mechanic can probably pinpoint the problem.
