Sportage parts costing

Postby Henfracar » September 1st, 2015, 8:37 am

Hi all Sportage Owners,
Save yourselves bundles of cash by buying foreign.
I recently had a fender bender and was quoted a total of TT$5000+ for a front bumper, 1 wheel guard (that's the plastic shroud under the front fender), and the bracket which holds the bumper to the fender.
Well Auto Parts Warehouse in California had the bumper (cover, they call it) for US$181.86 with free shipping to Miami. Another co in Carolina had the wheel guards and bracket.
Overall cost for bumper, 2 wheel guards (not 1) and bracket was TT$3200 in my garage.
Forgot to mention that all it took was one week from going online to delivery.
Just remembered the other co is KIA Parts Overstock.com; man their catalogues cover all KIA models; and the pix of the assemblies are a definite plus for all you DIY guys/
Wasn't surprised to learn KIA parts fit more than one model; for instance engine parts from crankshafts to pistons.
