Cool....still not sure how I feel about that front...somehow makes it look narrower...but love everything else...

The front indeed takes some time before I get used to it. I do however love the rear design of this Sportage.

The ride and feel of this is an improvement from the last
Model. The electric steering takes some time getting used to.
I would have loved to get the fully loaded model but I needed up getting the one with the 17's. Got a really good offer from Kia as it was my 3rd Kia in 5 years.
Overall I am impressed and a good improvement from the previous model.

The electric steering makes handling really nice tho. So far pleased with it. Only issue is the auto hold deactivates once the engine in turned off. Kind of annoying turning it on all the time.

Other than that perfect. Already hit over 1000km.

This should be easily available as the dash front fascia won't need changing.
Just check a reputable dealer and he can advised.

Hey what was the cost of the 5000kms service? I am at 3500 and approaching my service soon.
I have noticed that I get better fuel economy on normal mode when compared to Eco mode

My 5000k service was free but they told me it would have been 900.

Fuel economy so far has been best in eco mode...it ranges from about 8.5-9.5l/100km depending on where I'm driving.

The jbl really sweet. Nice mids and good bass...high quality sound.
Engine power delivery is decent. It's not high torque like turbo engines. But it's adequate for the size. I think the 2.4 would have been better for here but for cost savings it's a good trade off

The JBL system is quite impressive. Nice to see a stock 8 speaker system.
Johnnieblue, on the hway at 80kmh my fuel economy is 18-20km per liter and at 100 it's 16km per l. That's in normal mode. I am quite happy with this. It's an improvement from the previous model.

Right now I getting between 550-600 km a tank. Sometimes 8.5l/100km to 9.5 depending on if I'm driving north south or east west.

How is the ride on the 19"? The Sportage sits a lot better with these on the road as compared to the 17".
I got the 17". I would love to have some 18" in there soon.

19 riding nice. Very good even on our bad roads. I drive the 17 in the ix35 and the 19 in the sport age rides better.

Just passed 6000km on the odo, so far so good

Fellas. Ah thinking bout getting the GT. Ah want some info. The engine model number especially to do some research on it. How difficult to get parts and the servicing of this vehicle by the company or any authorized place. Does this use premium gas?
I have no experience with Kia vehicles so I'm new to this. Any information for a first time buyer would be great.

Hey, you will hear many horror stories about Kia and Southern Sales service but it's not all bad.
This is my 3rd new Kia in 6 yrs. I have had absolutely zero issues. The last Kia was a 2013 Sportage and I sold it doing 110000kms. This is a very reliable and comfortable vehicle to drive. I currently have the 2016 Sportage but not the GT version. You simply won't regret it.
The last Sportage was trouble free with the only issue was the front rotors were cutting unevenly at 70000kms. This was replaced under warranty. The 2016 Sportage uses super fuel and uses a 2.0 NU MPI engine.
You won't regret getting the Sportage.

Sorry to hear that. I hope the wait isn't too long. I mostly do hway driving and once I hold between 80-100 I will get 600-620 on normal mode. As the engine continue to break out I know it will improve.
