Did you check oil since January? If wasn't monitored a leak couldn't be detected, unless puddles were seen.

If the car was under warranty, wasnt the oil change supposed to be done at the dealer?

usually can do the major changes at dealer 5k, 10k, 20k, 40k at dealer and do the others outside.
depends on what was agreed on when buying the vehicle.

It is unlikely a result of the garage's oil change if OP didn't see oil on the floor after getting home from there.

U used the right oil? Saw a elantra that had 2 do an engine rebuild because of lack of oil change. These newer engine real sensitive. Can't use heavy oil in them n change on time. Good luck on that warranty issue....

Usually when the oil light comes on while your driving... You have do not have enough oil pressure to keep the sensor off. This is usually a result of not enough oil but can also happen when you spun a bearing.

If and when an oil cap comes off while in operation, all the oil can be blown out the system in a short space of time and you would have no leaks from before indicating such.

I take it you didn't look under the hood after the garage was finished with your vehicle.

Doesn't look to good when the last people to tamper with the system is an external garage.

Hope you get through

An oil change is way too easy to perform; so I doubt the garage made an error. Please keep us updated in terms of the warranty so the public can know what good aftermarket service to expect if buying a Hyundai from the firm.

Visually were you shown the source of the oil leak? I just find it weird that after a couple of months there is a sudden leak from the "oil plug cap". I know a lot of dealers BS customers because of their lack of knowledge when it comes to cars. Is there oil all over the Engine Bay?

The warranty is void if you don't do the maintenance by the dealers.

I have had the same experience. I changed the oil, soon after the oil light came on. Carried by the mechanic who checked it. The oil light came off for a couple of day. Soon after it came back on with an engine noise when the engine is reved. Update, the engine needs to change. Crank, connector rods, bearings and rings damaged. Massy charging 28k for a new engine. Anyone have a link for either an engine or parts?

My Tucson engine went through, but can't get a good reason oil change is always on time, and can't get a engine either

What failed in your engine to cause it to go through
