DIY Oil change advice

Postby july » September 5th, 2017, 11:16 am

I want to do a DIY oil change but after reading the trends on

(viewtopic.php?f=71&t=700932)

I want to make sure I'm doing the correct thing so I wouldn't run into any unwanted problems, the car has been dealer maintained from purchased, I hardly drive the car so my last service was Feb this year and my mileage now reach 1420 KM from last service so I have 2 questions before I change my oil:

1. What type of oil & filter is best to use in 2013 Elantra
2. Will I have to change my plugs

Besides those 2 questions if their is anything else that needs to be done, any advice will be appreciated because these new cars are so sensitive.

this is the best video on oil change on youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O1hF25Cowv8

this one is specifically for the elantra https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jO4Sk7O5eSg

did you get the owners manual from the person that you bought it from? it should tell you what you need. i find this online one for the US model that says you need 5w-20/5w-30/10w-30. The oil filter, you could always go OEM or find a dupe. https://justgivemethedamnmanual.com/man ... lantra.pdf
