I find this contribution quite significant and it caused me to look at how significant a role the face covering played.
What is striking is, how little we have learned since 1918 to replicate a more deadly situation and refuse in many cases to follow the rules.

this graph is a friggin lie. Tests taking 2+ weeks to be completed. So from September 2nd to September 12th, most of the data is missing.

the graph will always appear to be trending towards 0, because the tests haven't been completed yet.

I believe that you may be trying to say that the graph is incomplete because it does not include the samples that have been collected but testing has not been completed and added to the totals.

In addition, the testing is not widespread or random. Based on percentage of tests that are positive, government policies, number of deaths, and population mobility, the number of cases is likely three times as high as what is being shown.

Daily cases are likely in decline from about 350 cases per day.

FYI...

Fauci says that he takes vitamin D and C supplements and that they can lessen 'your susceptibility to infection'

The leading infectious-disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci recommends taking your vitamins now that school has started and flu season is nearing.

Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, gave an Instagram Live interview with the actress Jennifer Garner on Thursday in which he specifically suggested taking vitamin D and C supplements and said he took them himself.

"If you're deficient in vitamin D, that does have an impact on your susceptibility to infection. I would not mind recommending, and I do it myself, taking vitamin D supplements," he said. "The other vitamin that people take is vitamin C because it's a good antioxidant, so if people want to take a gram or so of vitamin C, that would be fine."

There's a large body of research supporting Fauci's recommendations. Studies suggest vitamin D and C are your best bet for supplementing immune health. However, many of the other products sold for this purpose are useless or worse.

Brief Summary

Abstract
Purpose
Hypovitaminosis D is a highly spread condition correlated with increased risk of respiratory tract infections. Nowadays, the world is in the grip of the Coronavirus disease 19 (COVID 19) pandemic. In these patients, cytokine storm is associated with disease severity. In consideration of the role of vitamin D in the immune system, aim of this study was to analyse vitamin D levels in patients with acute respiratory failure due to COVID-19 and to assess any correlations with disease severity and prognosis.

Results
Eighty one percent of patients had hypovitaminosis D. Based on vitamin D levels, the population was stratified into four groups: no hypovitaminosis D, insufficiency, moderate deficiency, and severe deficiency. No differences regarding demographic and clinical characteristics were found. A survival analysis highlighted that, after 10 days of hospitalization, severe vitamin D deficiency patients had a 50% mortality probability, while those with vitamin D ≥ 10 ng/mL had a 5% mortality risk (p = 0.019).

Conclusions
High prevalence of hypovitaminosis D was found in COVID-19 patients with acute respiratory failure, treated in a RICU. Patients with severe vitamin D deficiency had a significantly higher mortality risk. Severe vitamin D deficiency may be a marker of poor prognosis in these patients, suggesting that adjunctive treatment might improve disease outcomes.

Whats you guys take on this?

lets say someone was exposed to someone who proved to be covid positive thru a swab test.

can you do a test 2-3 days after meeting said person and get a accurate results? Or you need more time for the virus to work on your body?

Binding antibodies can be detected with blood tests starting about one week after the initial infection. If antibodies are found, it's extremely likely that the person has been infected with the COVID-19 coronavirus.

^ those give u Vit. C. not sure about D. aside from supplements if u spend some time in the yard exposed to the sun your body will make vit. D- how much also depends on how dark your skin is though. darker skin takes longer to make it. white ppl only need 15-20 mins, darker skinned ppl maybe 30 mins or more and on a regular basis- if not take a supplement. perhaps get your Vit. D levels checked via a blood test.

Is about time MOH look at these studies and recommend persons at risk take some Vit. D- if 80% of black Americans are deficient, what could it mean to black Trinidadians (or anyone who not white for that matter)? especially if u inside air-conditioned homes, offices and cars.

The Sun Is Your Best Source of Vitamin D
When your skin is exposed to sunlight, it makes vitamin D from cholesterol.
The sun's ultraviolet B (UVB) rays hit cholesterol in the skin cells, providing the energy for vitamin D synthesis to occur.

615 tests completed since yesterday morning though. A good sign that the new machines promised are now being used. (24 hr % positive dropped to 15%, lowest it has been since 6-7 Sep when they did 199 tests and got 20 positives.

THIS I totally agree with. The sun has always been the best for Vit D.

It was the Vit. C, I was referring to earlier.

I think you should re-read the 2 pages again.

We are not being given 24 hour data. Unless you have access to info that is not out there or unless I mis-read what you are trying to state.

What has Barbados been doing differently?
They opened their borders since July 12th and have not had a Covid related death since April 29th.
They have been promoting tourism
They have been having sporting events with crowds of spectators like normal, their cinemas, bars and restaurants are open
