Michelins made by Pylons, but are not the same as the Pylon branded

the pylons I used were ALL sheit quality and performance was 2x sheit
the Michelins are of a higher quality, softer rubber that stays softer than the pylons that seem to get hard in 6 months or so of taking weather

I would expect that the ones they make for Michelin would be up the Michelin's higher specs/quality, etc.

While the regular Pylons are budget blades.

They are the same to me any way... The only difference I have experienced is that the ones with the shroud over the blade tend to hold out better because that shroud is sheltering the rubber from the sun. Besides that I wouldn't pay the extra for them

I used acdelco before... Those blades worked well for the price... They do benefit from the plastic frame sheltering the rubber blade and they did last longer than an exposed blade.

these have a plastic "pin" where the wiper arm clips on the blade is made of plastic, so if they beating sun, i expect them to break at some point.

Time will tell

I have had a difficult time finding refills. If you go looking in the variety stores and hardware stores, you may get lucky. There have been times when I bought a wiper blade assembly and tossed out the frame. Now I just order what I want online.

Most generic refills come 6 mm wide and about 560 mm long. You can trim to the required length with a sharp utility blade.

so I started a new process of glass cleaning to get better wiper performance.

essentially its polishing or deep cleaning the glass to allow for better surface contact with the wiper blades

I use a clay bar and then Meguirs Glass polish ($65 or $75) and a DA polisher with a FIRM compound pad

1. clean the glass by washing
2. clay the glass to remove as much embedded particulate matter
3. polish the glass
4. clean the wiper blades with rubbing alcohol. preferably install new blades when doing this.
