I don't know how trinis could buy and worse yet consume ANY alcohol made locally. Maybe it's a low self esteem thing.

On another note I went Tammie's brewery the other day. The absolute worst beer I have ever had in my life and I sampled a whole lot off the menu.
The beer was disgusting and cloudy. For sure 100% trini made.

No self-respecting person will ever go there a second time to drink beer.....just look at the clientele and you'd realise.

Let me stop now since I sounding like Max

That's like saying my sheit smells better today than yesterday because I had a salad while, yesterday I had KFC. At the end of the day it's still sheit.

Barrels are expensive, and sourcing is becoming competitive. Even the tired old barrels, but it pricy to ship from EU/UK to this lil glob ah mud.

'Stura stop using barrels for black label a while now and prioritize them for their better offerings that they pushing as quality in fawrrin/ wypeepoland. The colouring for BL is goop from the base of the still, notice the burn hue, not a barrel influenced colour. And of course food colouring, like EVERY F ACKING product they churning out of their lavantee based distillery. I feel sorry for that ten to one fellah. Bess he de use JAM, B'DOS, and Guadeloupe instead wee. Unless he sourcing from TnT without the fake colouring.

I know e150a. Have b d c e I think. prune juice will be strong and illegal in some AOCs. But I know they use some "thing/s" to make the caramel, could be that

Smithwick's red ale. Been having a few of these recently. I'd describe this as crisp, clean, slight hops bitter aftertaste. But many light smooth ester flavors at the top. Could possibly be a bit watered down version from Guinness brewery for export but I like it.

I got a few of the Dewars 12 gift set (early Xmas shopping) from p'mart this week, at 220 it not bad, and get a heavy arse rockes glass too. Really went to get a few of the Anton berg liquor chocolates but was sold out in gulf view

Cheers! A bottle of Scotch whisky sells for a record $2.7 million at auction
Associated Press
Updated Sat, November 18, 2023 at 2:45 PM

LONDON (AP) — A bottle of Scotch whisky billed as “the most sought-after” in the world sold Saturday for almost 2.2 million pounds ($2.7 million), an auction record for a bottle of wine or spirits.

The Macallan Adami 1926 sold at Sotheby’s in London, after a bidding war between would-be buyers on the phone and in the room.

Just 40 bottles of The Macallan 1926 were bottled in 1986 after being aged in sherry casks for 60 years.

I haven't really seen Japanese whisky in T&T. Anyone know where to get some.

Kinda hard to screw up grain whisky but chita is a more traditional distillery and hopefully it's all 100% Japanese whisky and not "World Whisky".

Literally every liquor mart may have Japanese whisky available. True (distilled and bottled in Japan) Japanese Whisky though... Those are like four leaf clovers in TnT. Hibiki Harmony is close, being a blend of malts from their own distilleries.

Most of the iwai mars brand available locally is World Whisky and not 100% samurai

Visited a coffee shop om some recent travels that also served alco.
Being a true Trini I drank the Scotch but I should have tried the Japanese stuff to see how they were.

Them Hakushu and that Yama 12..... that is the rell ting. They say the mizunara gives a gingerish and coconut hint. Couldn't get that on yama12, but it faint on the Hakushu. Is like a weak coconut water -ish but the slight after taste of maybe Massy sweet bread. Like if you put a slice to your mouth and slightly draw in some air... I dunno how else to describe

That shape looks like the one JW gives with their gift sets (the bottle and 2 glasses). Normally PM has those with the only catch being they would be JW branded.

Okay will check it back but I think it more tapered out uniformly rather than how this one is.

Boy I IS de hawk n spit bar. Men down here renovate and throw out everything bout 2-4 decades ago. My pops the only one who had chivas revolve and glenturret decanter (friend from Canada gifted), bells ceramic etc. When I was renovating I find an old caroni glass with some coins. Gave to grandmum and they said it was worth some change.

Hardly finding any kinda relics from the old chinshop & rumshop days anymore.
