^^had a chance to but didn't want to manhandle someone else's car with a company like bavarian motors being the ppl who service it.

it reminds me of the rover 200 tho. that car fcuked up alot of ppl, but with the passive rear steer and short wheelbase...it used to handle as if it was powered on hopes and dreams. unfortunately it was powered by your weekly repair and service budget

we've had ours 6 years now with no issues (normal Cooper).

The handling is is better than any stock FWD car I've driven. Very stable, neutral handling....back and can be provoked to step out in a predictable manner etc

agreed, i had a mini cooper on load for almost 2 months and at times tossed it around corners that i could never take with any other FWD car. Three wheeling around tight bends can be easily achieved and controlled...Would love to drive the new cooper S Works

Similar has happened to the VW beetle.

oh gawd no!!!>.thats a WASTE of design.....TOTAL!!.....is best they'd kept the original and simply added more power.....

or just keep throwing in a turbo charged scooby boxer in that

anyhow gimme the old 300 slr, something about these older cars that just appeal more..more character and passion seem to radiate from them.
