Good engine swap price?..Right?

Postby Jinx2004Riceboy » May 20th, 2004, 10:19 am

I have a good mechanic here in town who gave me a quote of $950.00 to swap out my D15B2 for a SOHC ZC, wiring, everything. Is this a good price?

Yeah, US dollars. $935 of 'em. No good tuner shops in this neck of the woods, less I travel 1 1/2 hours or more.

Just do some checking on the mechanic and shop first, talk to ppl woh did work on their cars before jus to make sure it's reliable.
The last thing yuh want to do is spend that kind of money and get ah quack job..

Well, I'm waiting to see what happens with the valve seal/retainer this weekend and I'll go from there. Costing me $150 to replace it all, labor included
