Drove through highway without much problems.
All disaster crews out washing down highway etc.
The petit valley (eastern) side, all roads leading to highway had 4ft of water and in some cases, cars were removed from their parking spots again as it did last year. Slush remains at abt 2 ft in front of homes.
Im contemplating purchasing abt 3 bobcats.

On the positive side....ABSOLUTELY NO TRAFFIC ANYWHERE!!!!

That being what it is, i believe that the real issue is the fact that the west moorings end of that river, even in low tide, seems to be below sea level. Days like this , all backs up.

Same with st anns river which causes woodbrook to be a mess.

i dunno how they really intend on fixing the problem or if they even realise that this is a major factor.

God help us if/when the hurricane comes.

Its selfish, but high ground is the best bet, and development of hills will continue.

even though the "best bet" creates more water runoff by removing foliage and paving.
we truly create our own fate.

Massive clean up operation going on on the Diego Martin highway and environs- however, it often seems like they are locking the door after the horse has already bolted!!

Diego now starting to get some rain. I'm sure bricks are being shat at this very moment. No lightning though, so maybe it's just a passing cloud although here it don't take much.

Don't like the look of that system to the west of us that is moving in an easterly direction.

That thundery weather came from the south to north then it looks like it moved west.

This is a pic of the weather when it was coming from the south about an hour ago
