That's probably another year. They structure this thing for you to replace devices often. But these iPads and iPhones last long.

Give it a 24 hrs or so of use. From what I read it's the indexing from spotlight that causes this.

The Mini 4 didn't have 3D touch either. It was also released at the last event. The iPad Air 3 not until 2016.

I should really be a little more specific. My Whatsapp App is coming up on the phone sideways and I am unable to make any calls using the number pad. The only way I can make a call is via Siri. I've restarted my phone about 3 times by simply powering off and back on. Anyone else experiencing similar ?

And I have an iPhone 6 direct from Apple - unlocked (no jail break non sense)

Yeah a couple people told me about that issue with whatsapp. Not the other problems.
I actually haven't updated to the new OS, waiting to see potential for these kinds of issues and how fast they are ironed out.
