Tuners, good morning. I would like to get an idea of the average cost of a Toyota Corolla NZE 121 Transmission.
I ve been told $5000+ but I have puchased a head and block previously for $3800. So just inquiring to know when I shop around, when I being given the shaft.
I now called R&S in penal and they have the non CVT one, cost is around $1500, that's what I have on my corolla, dunno about CVT price. Just for comparison, I got a same 1nzfe head and block by them for $3500 about a year ago. Bamboo prices was like 6000-8000 for the same thing.
Yea the info I getting seems to be consistent, even as high as $7000 bamboo 3. Rebuild out of the question, esp when it possible to swap parts so easily. Think a 2zz go be the goal yes lol
The cost will depend on if your transmission has the speed sensor on it or not. The ones with the speed sensor go for 5k - 6k and the one without 1500 - 2k.
To check to see which u have look on the side of the trans thats closer to the firewall if you see a black sensor that's it.
Sometimes the foreign used one will be blanked off but still have the gear in it so you could use back your sensor.
