POLICE are in search of a black Nissan X-Trail used as the getaway vehicle in the abduction of hair dresser Ria Sookdeo.
Sookdeo's red Nissan X-Trail was blocked and she was dragged from her vehicle near the Picton Presbyterian School near Debe on Thursday morning.
The 34 year old woman had only moments before dropped off her children at the primary school.
Sookdeo, the mother of three, lives at nearby Wellington Road, Debe.
Police are piecing together what happened at around 8.30a.m.
They know that Sookdeo dropped off her children and was driving along the road looking for a turning spot, when a black Nissan X Trail blocked her vehicle. Police were told that several men came out of the vehicle, with guns.
KIDNAPPED: Ria Sookdeo
Police are reviewing CCTV camera footage from nearby homes and businesses.
Sookdeo had purchased her vehicle only a few months ago.
At the school, shell shocked friends and family members said Sookdeo was not wealthy and had no enemies, and that it was her daily routine to drop her children off at school.

Mark Sookdeo, husband of 34-year-old Ria Sookdeo who was abducted near her children's school on Thursday, is begging that his wife to be returned safely.
Sookdeo, a plant attendant at National Petroleum, said there was no reason anyone would want to harm his wife.
“I was at work this morning when I received a call that someone had abducted my wife. That is the worst call anyone can get. I never thought something like this would ever happen to us. I am begging the persons who took her to please return her safely,” he said.
Sookdeo, 40, broke down in tears as he spoke about his children, ages nine and five.
He said the children were unaware of what had happened and he pleaded for the men to return his wife before the end of the school day.
“I don't know what to tell my children. We were so good yesterday. We went to the airport and then the bank. Everything was so good.” he said.
Ria Sookdeo, a hairdresser, was dragged out of her red Nissan X-Trail van after dropping off her children at a primary school in Picton Village, near Debe.
The abduction happened at around 8.30a.m.
The family lives at Willington Road, Debe.
Her father, Frankie Sookdeo, said it was the same route his daughter took every morning. He said she worked hard and recently bought her own vehicle.
Police said Sookdeo drove into Picton Estate Drive to turn her vehicle when a black Nissan X-Trail blocked her pathway.
Sookdeo's cellphone and handbag were found inside the vehicle.
Police said one side of a slipper was found on the roadway.
A team of officers from Southern Division, led by Inspector Don Gajadhar, arrived on the scene and cordoned off the area.
Police said roadblocks were set up an NOC Air Division helicopter was called in to assist in the search.
