Things gonna get really interesting if they can roll that out down here.

Where did you hear this?

Hybrid technology entails a significant investment on the dealership part (workshop, training, tools, technology transfer etc etc).

Nonetheless it's something to look forward too.

Is the santa fe in the same segment as the x3 or is that in the segment with the x5?

Nope that X5 is a bigger vehicle and classed with Benz GLE and Cayenne, the Santa fe is roughly the same size as the X3 but the X3 has a greater wheelbase.

I doubt that unless they made the Santa Fe much smaller than the last model. My pardner has the current X5 his wife the last version of the Santa Fe and the father a Prado. The X5 is smallest of the 3. The Prado is significantly bigger than the rest when you watch all three in the garage side by side.

You sure it's the latest X5? They were changed recently and the new one is huge.

Just found this. The Prado sits higher on a ladder frame with large / pickup type tyres so that's why it probably looks bigger.

Exactly the Prado looks bigger in every dimension because of a couple inches in height but otherwise in length and importantly wheelbase the X5 in both current gen (G05) AND previous gen (F15) is bigger than it. And besides vehicles with a boxier design tend to look bigger than they actually are

I have one and I find it's bigger than the Prado except that it sits lower. The new one is still bigger. The Prado is narrower so it seems taller.

Yea passed in yesterday evening and it does seem wider and longer but definitely not taller than the Prado. Guess the height throws it all off

True. You need to use the side steps to access the Prado comfortably. The X5 steps are more cosmetic.

Yes it is... However for that price you get much more (AWD standard, the superior boxer engine, amazing eyesight technology) and that "Toyota reliability" and possibly comparable "resale value".

I have a 2014 RAV4 which I bought over a forester back in the day. The deciding factor then was super over premium. Now, since fuel prices have changed and our family has grown each time I see a forester, I regret not buying one.

I believe the Subaru Forester especially this current model is far superior to the Rav4 in every respect. As a matter of fact, right now I'd also put the Mazda CX3 in front of the Rav4.

That new Rav4 just not worth it when compared to other Japanese vehicles out there.

Anyone have hands-on experience with the Toyota C-HR? Was interested in one, didn't see it listed on here.

Are the differences to the regular version all cosmetic or are there any engine/suspension mods?

$350k?? Wow. Maybe I was mistaken, or it could have been an introductory price. Gladiator, I can't say for sure but online it seems that the changes are mainly cosmetic. I stand to be corrected though.

viedcht wrote:Anyone have hands-on experience with the Toyota C-HR? Was interested in one, didn't see it listed on here.

I'm guessing it isn't listed here because while it can be purchased brand new, this thread is specific to the mainstream dealerships as opposed to 'grey-market' dealers and iirc, TTTL doesn't sell the CH-R, thus its omission from the discussion/thread.
