I have had to deal with a higher than usual number of clients with brake issues who are owners of the corolls/altis vehicles.
The common denominator as root cause seems to be after-market brake fittings.
Problems include damaged rotors, sticking pistons, sticking slider pins and compromised calipher clips (these are spring loaded clips that hold pads in place).
As compared to clients who have stayed with original equipment the situation out there seems to be bad.
I was actually advised of someone experiencing a shattering of an aftermarket x-drilled rotor disc.
Be careful with what you do.......people this is brakes we talking about and may very well determine you fortunes when you need them the most.

I just change my Wagner front pads on my NZE last week. It cost $200 from Gobins in St Augustine. The old pair of Wagner lasted 2 yrs with 1/3 of its life still remaining. I basically change them due to the fact that I had change my rotors as one was wrapped, which causes one of the pads to cut lower than the other and as I change the rotor when slowing down I would get a slight whistle with the old pads on near stopping. My mechanic said the pads may have become "harden".
A next question is the Wagner pads, are they semi-ceramic?
I realize on the Wagner box, it says "NAO Ceramic" Which means "Non Asbestos Organic Ceramic".
