How many would support local and pay the exorbitant prices so the sellers can eat a food and feed their family?

I would support local for actual local made / grown/ produced.

Not buy-markup-resell. firetruck the middleman BS

X[emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]].

I love supporting my local farmers for produce.

Anything other than that, i take pleasure to tell them i AM buying online even if it costs more.

Just upload your passport information not a big deal.

Fun Tip: if you don't have a passport as most people don't, just use the last 6 digits of your national ID card.

update on my test order.
package was available to collect on monday 4th august.
called them on tuesday 5th to find out the status , they took my phone number to have it delivered on wednesday .
thursday passed , nothing.
friday i decided to go into the office to collect my package , went to the building on the highway , there is a sign , the office relocated to the other side of the highway just before solo.
reached the office around 11:30 , entered the package details into the system , sit down with about 20 other people waiting to collect . around 12:30 name finally called , package received and left dhl.

the time it takes in the office to distribute the packages could be faster to the people collecting .

My test order went well.

Ordered 4 solar street lights with free shipping to trinidad. Paid on August 3rd.

It cleared customs last night and was delivered a hour ago by DHL to my office.

Cost $245 tt landed per light which is pretty good.

send a vid nah.
That's blowing local prices out the water for lights of that size/power. For 250TTD, you're getting a 100-150W streetlight.

I bought some Philips solar lights on spikes for the driveway - decent ambient light. Worked out to about 50TTD each.

They can also be mounted on walls/horizontal surfaces so gonna do an ambient light project on the wirewall fence posts.

I ordered some more last weekend and they said estimated delivery time was AUG25. DHL literally handed me the box 10 min ago.

Most of those couriers will get JAM with that kinda savings and performance from amazon direct.

How was the process for you guys? always takes 10 days for me from time of order to getting it in hand, faster than any skybox unless you have prime and skybox it may be slightly faster but if you don't have prime then shipping to Trinidad is way faster

in true amazon fashion they jacked up the price of this model light
it is now $120 + $52 calculated final taxes so landed is $172

I just ordered a bigger version from same brand, 2 pack for $72 + $29 calculated taxes
they say expected deliver sept 4

^ Just an FYI if Amazon's price is over estimated they does refund you automatically 2 weeks after you receive the item

If Amazon under charges you they accept the loss.

the calculation does seem accurate for 12.5% vat, 20% duty and 7%opt
but seems the govt doesn’t get to charge the vat on top of the shipping charges since it’s “free”

I will show you an example

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0F84 ... ULWR&psc=1

^ This item which I am interested in buying a leverless arcade "stick" for Street Fighter 6 only has $18 in Tax to clear in Trinidad but the item itself is $86 US, this is a clear case of Amazon undervaluing the item, customs will charge Amazon much more than $18, so they will absorb the loss and maybe they might end up adjusting the tax next time.

In the case of computer parts,

https://www.amazon.com/GIGABYTE-GeForce ... ref=sr_1_1

^ Like this you will notice Amazon will for some unknown reason charge Tax but Trinidad has no tax on PC parts so it will be automatically refunded so their system isn't entirely accurate in all cases but you always come out the winner as the consumer.

Also Amazon will ship video cards to Trinidad where as they will ban Skybox addresses due to the US chip export ban on China, people were using freight forwarders to buy high end video cards in the US and ship it to China.

Anyone ever had the issue where you put everything you believe you needed in your cart and did everything under the sun to make sure that's everything you need and as soon as you order it you realize you've forgotten to add something?

Yea and its always 1 or 2 items and now with the Amazon free shipping via DHL you now gotta wait to build up enough items so it can be worth more than $49 to get free DHL shipping.
