Blink Broadband with Limewire...

Postby QG » July 17th, 2008, 11:12 am

Has anyone who switched over from dial up to broadband still uses Limewire(PRO)?

For some reason i can't access Limewire anymore, it's not connecting. Can anyone help?

Or you could email them as I did at support@tstt.net.tt

They replied in a day. Though it did a couple of hrs for the effect to work...
Personally with everyone requesting the firewalls to be disabled I don't know why they have up in the 1st place.

Because u would be surprised at how many ppl want high speed internet just because they could afford it, but are not computer literate, then when something happen they want to blame tstt.

If u remove the firewall and something happen u have no compensation to get. U do so at your own risk.

Trust me it's not everyone who requests it removed!!

Good, I have now finished speaking to the agent/ technician and the firewall was removed. However, limewire still does not connect. I will wait a hour or two and see whats happening.
My phonebill must be high right now...u know 824TSTT ain't toll free and the amount of waiting and transfers done :D :D . TSTT really knows how to make money.

you might have to do some port forwarding to get LimeWire to work. (as was the case for me). I can't remember the settings I used off hand though. If necessary I'll repost when I get home later.

appreciate it. Oh and I asked the guy if removing the firewall was advisable...he said once the firewall was interfering with your programs u can get it removed. And it's safe.

SRASC, Port forwarding was not necessary. After the firewall was removed i had to wait a while for the effects to place.
