PRIMERA PROBLEMS

fellas i just tried to start my P12 primera and nothing happening..

battery is good, everything else is working fine just the starter not doin anything. It not even clicking or making any noise at all..

total silence?


i know something is definately wrong with the starter. Anybody know where i can get it repaired or even buy a new one???

engine is a QR20DE

how do you know the battery is good? and that the starter is bad? make sure the power cable to the starter is connected properly.

are you still getting lights and horn? if not, check the master fuse in the engine compartment fuse box (80A)

yes
lights and horn and music (amps, etc) everything is working fine

will check the master fuse, thanks

was thinking abt posting a thread asking this same question.

Couple days ago my dads car wouldn't start. Tried all sorts of things. The electrician did some relay booster or something so.

Anyway last night it would not start again. Radio, lights etc all working.

Was thinking its a bad immobilizer.

Anyway the electrician did some work again but am not sure wht he did this time but I think something with the starter and for now its working.

Starter brushes had to change

mileage still under 90000KM :shock: :shock:

$85 for brushes
$100 electrician's fee
$50 mechanic fee

starter is back up and working

well firstly you need to check from start to finish the things in the way frm the switch, wires, alarm relay, immobilizer relay neutral switch, stater :wink:
