Underdrive pulleys on NZE???

Postby linker » November 30th, 2009, 7:53 pm

Does it make any sense installing an underdrive crank pulley and lightweight alternator pulley on a 3zz-fe? Is there any adverse effect to the engine by using an UD crank pulley? i have seen these installed on the US 1zz-fe like wow, but have not been able to come across anyone complaining about it. My main concern here is damage to engine/accessory components.
Any input/advise will be appreciated.
I am looking at the UR pulley set.

well....it could cause a harmonic imbalance..that could be a problem reving high..also i think its a waste of money,

if you want power gains , try a cold air intake , exaust, and check meh to install a greddy e manage to fine tune the car .

have a friend who did intake , exaust and e manage ultimate make 15whp on the 1.5 vvt swift
