Issue with pioneer deck

Postby onlystunna » January 10th, 2011, 2:27 am

Ay ppl i have a pioneer 6900ub usb deck which has a motorized face. However sumtimes wen im driving if the car hits a bump and the deck shakes, the entire deck cuts off. I know for a fact that it is because of the face loosing proper contact with the connection to the deck. Sometimes parts of the face of the deck stop lighting, like the lights around the volume button and when i press the face down, it usually starts back lighting. It is loosing the proper contact it should have. It doesnt happen very often but wen it does it can be pretty annoying. Any ideas on how i can rectify this, if at all? :|

I'n not sure how the connection is made on those faces? Can you see the connection pins or does that deck use hidden wires?

If the pins are visible, maybe some cleaning with CRC 2-26 on a cotton swab might help the situation.

I used to have a pioneer deck with a motorized face.
Ran into a similar problem after a while.

It's probable the ribbon.
Alot of pioneer decks with the motorized face have encountered this issue.

Good ting is you can just get it replaced.
