Controversial Pastor, Vishnu Lutchmansingh, committed suicide this morning after he shot and killed his brother.

Details are limited; however, our newsroom was informed that the incident took place at approximately 10:30 am.

His brother has been identified as Krishan Lutchmansingh.

His nephew Timothy Jonathan was injured when Rev. Lutchmansingh drove over him.

Rev. Lutchmansingh came to prominence in 2003 after he claimed to have inherited a £700 Billion estate from British national Buford Keaton.

Rev. Lutchmansingh locked himself in his Savary hill, Cunupia, home which was set on fire.

A land dispute is being blamed for the incident.

‘Billionaire’ pastor kills brother, commits suicide

CONTROVERSIAL pastor Vishnu Lutchmansingh, who claimed he had inherited several billion dollars from an American businessman in 2003, shot and killed his brother, ran over his nephew with his car, set fire to his house, and then shot himself to death afterwards.
The incident occurred just before 10.30 a.m. yesterday at Savary Road Extension in Las Lomas.
Police said that prior to setting his house on fire then shooting himself in the head, Lutchmansingh had a heated argument with his brother, Krishan Lutchmansingh, at an agricultural area known as Davy-Toby Drive, in Chin Chin Road, Cunupia.
During the quarrel, Lutchmansingh, who was before the court on several fraud charges, drew a licensed pistol and shot his brother.
He then left the scene and drove to Savary Road Extension where, using his car, he broke through a barrier that blocked the road leading to his property.
There he confronted one of his nephews, whose car he shot at several times and then ran Timothy Janitan over with his car.
Lutchmansingh then put the car into reverse gear and drove over his nephew again.
Janitan was taken to Chaguanas Health Facility, where he was treated.
Lutchmansingh, still in a fit of rage, then walked into the small house which overlooked a large pond on the land.
He proceeded to set fire to the house which, according to neighbours, burned quickly.
It is believed that as the house burned, Lutchmansingh turned his gun on himself and squeezed the trigger.
When the Express arrived on the scene, some of Lutchmansingh’s relatives quickly left, stating firmly that they had no comment.
Other relatives were not hostile and allowed the Express to photograph the scene, but insisted that they not be in any of the photos.
They also said they had nothing to say about what happened.
One man, who said he worked with the pastor, said the man’s deceased brother “was always fighting him down. That man (Krishan) real robbed him and stole from him”.
Another man did not have complimentary things to say about the pastor, however.
Cunupia police are continuing investigations.
