Car dealer charged with receiving stolen SUVs - out on bail.

Millionaire used car dealer Sheron Sukhdeo was arrested on Carnival Monday and appeared in court two days later charged with receiving a stolen Toyota Rav4 and a Nissan Qashqai.



Three warrants were issued on Sukdeo last week Monday and he appeared before the Port of Spain Magistrates' court on Ash Wednesday.

Sukhdeo faced two charges of receiving stolen vehicles and a charge of uttering to false document. On that day he was denied bail and remanded into custody until the following day. On Thursday however Sukhdeo was not taken from prison to the Chaguanas court. Defence attorney Ian Brooks applied for bail in Sukhdeo's absence.

Police prosecutor Sgt Ken Ali objected to bail. He said Sukdeo's criminal record showed he had pending matters of a similar nature dated back to 2014. Brooks however present documents showing that these matters had been dismissed.

Senior magistrate Jo-Anne Connor placed Sukhdeo on $200,000 bail. Brooks also requested cash bail for his client. Connor placed the car dealer on $20,000 cash bail.

She ordered that Sukhdeo return to court on March 31.

It was last February that Sukhdeo was charged with maliciously assaulting his wife and also assaulting her occasioning actual bodily harm. Eight months later his wife appeared in court saying she and her husband had reconciled and she no longer wished to pursue the matter.

These matters were dismissed.

bought a few vehicles from them never had any problems transferred everything ... jus before buying the vehicles call the owner to verify the info on the certify copy ..... they will have the owners contact info
