Massy Machinery Ltd. celebrated another historic milestone when they launched Trinidad and Tobago’s first Multi-Brand Truck Dealership which is home to premium brands Volvo, Mack, UD Trucks and Hyundai Trucks and Buses.
Under the direction of the Senior Vice President and CEO, Massy Machinery Ltd., Mr. Ramnarine Persad; Project Manager, Massy Motors and Machines Portfolio, Mr. Dhanraj Samlal and Digital Marketing Manager, Massy Machinery Ltd., Mrs. Kelseya Gordon; the Massy Machinery Ltd. Events Committee executed a spectacular event and impeccable execution of this grand opening of the multi-brand showroom facility built and designed to meet international standards by Mr. Dhanraj Samlal.
The day’s event kicked off with a road show that left Massy Machinery’s compound at 1pm and ventured north, turning at the roundabout in Mt. Hope and then venturing south to Debe, with several stops at key points along the way, before returning to Massy Machinery’s compound at 6:30pm. The road show featured a wide array of trucks owned and operated by the loyal customers of Massy Machinery, such as Junior Sammy Contractors Ltd., Namalco Construction Services Limited., General Earth Movers Limited, Mootilal Ramhit & Sons Contracting Limited and RPM Technical Services Ltd. along with the company’s fleet of trucks, thus showcasing the various brands and models. The road show was hosted by the energetic Sunny Bling and the entourage included the dedicated customers and employees of Massy Machinery.
Massy Machinery cemented its place in the truck industry in 2016 and has merged its illustrious brands into this one unique experience. Massy Machinery continues to innovate and strongly represent its brands in the Trinidad and Guyana markets. Tribute was paid to the truck division’s founding member, and a memorial stone was unveiled for the late Albert Ragbir, Assistant Vice President – Truck Division.
Greetings were delivered from international suppliers and other speakers included Mr. E. Gervase Warner – President and Group Chief Executive Officer, Massy Group, Mr. Stephen Christopher – Vice President, Massy Machinery Ltd. and Mr. Kelvin Gowrie – Assistant Vice President, Massy Machinery Ltd.. A brief history of the various brands was delivered by representatives of the Trucks Division, Anisa Ramesar, Sharla Garcia and Remika Santokhie.
In addition, the showroom was officially opened with the cutting of the ribbon by the Honourable Mr. Faaiq Mohammed, Mayor of Chaguanas, the Ragbir Family and Mr. David O’Brien – Executive Vice President & Executive Chairman of the Motors and Machines Portfolio.
Senior Massy Executives, the Mayor of Chaguanas, International Suppliers, Representatives from the Industrial, Marine and Construction sectors, Members of the Media, Employees and Management of Massy Machinery were all in attendance.
