Rally Trinidad 2013 Day 1

Rally Trinidad 2013 Day 1

Written by Christine De Gannes (TTRC PRO)

TTRC kicked off its premiere event, Rally Trinidad 2013 last Friday in the Hasley Crawford Stadium. This year the stadium was set up a bit differently from previous years. The competitors showed their skills when going through the new layout with lots of sideways action with the sounds of screeching tyres and anti lag, providing many opportunities for the media to get some fantastic shots.

The Special Stages at the Stadium are usually well attended by spectators and this year was no different the 2nd and 3rd tiers of the stadium stands we packed with spectators and especially just outside the course in the areas where they could get a close-up view of the action. Apart from the Rally cars, the Drift World Order put on a small display with a tandem drift. The night set the pace for Saturday’s battles as some cars incurred penalties which would affect their times. Jeffery Panton was the leader in these 2 stages and was given the opportunity to choose his road position for Day 2.
