The Trinidad & Tobago Automobile Sports Association TTASA held their 2023 End of Year Awards Ceremony on January 6th 2024 at Ohana Restaurant, Chaguanas. Due to the busy schedule and bookings in December, the governing body of motor racing in T&T opted to hold their prize-giving function in January as they also did last year.
After dinner was served, presentations were made by the TTASA Competition Chairman Mr. Rae Smith, who also doubled as Master of Ceremonies for the night, followed by a comprehensive recap of the past year by the President of TTASA, Mr. Ashton Eligon and a brief address by Mr. Roger Hutcheon, Honorary Secretary for the Association.
A myriad of awards were presented to class winners for Circuit and Drag racing as well as commendations and appreciation awards to sponsors, marshalls, media personnel and technical staff. Awards were also presented to affiliates including the Trinidad & Tobago Karting Association in a show of TTASA’s continued support for the upcoming younger generation of racers.
TTASA previously published a packed 2024 calendar of events in multiple motorsport and automotive disciplines at The Frankie Boodram Wallerfield International Raceway, the facility for which the association is the steward. You can view and bookmark the calendar of events at trinituner.com/events.
