TTASA Open Track Day

TTASA Open Track Day

The Trinidad and Tobago Automobile Sport Association held it’s first event for the 2020 event calendar on Sunday the 12th January, 2020 at the Frankie Boodram Wallerfield International Raceway. A much requested event over the course of the 2019 motorsport season, and the turnout indicated that many drivers/riders were keen to participate in this style of event, without the overheads and rules of a competition event.

A wide array of drivers in the average daily driven cars to the daily driven exotics got to experience both wet and dry driving conditions at the ever temperamental Raceway, when it comes to weather conditions. Of course, all of this was done under the supervision of seasoned drivers to the Association, who gave pointers to the new drivers, before allowing them to push their own vehicles and themselves to the limits.

After a quick stroll through the pits, and brief conversations with participants it was clear they had a time of their life and eagerly look forward to similar styled events in the future.
