TTDA Drift Practice: 03.Apr.2016

With four more events in the drift motion championship series this year; TTDA held their second drivers only practice session alongside circuit practice at the Wallerfield International Raceway on Sunday 3rd April 2016.

In addition to providing a safe venue for drifters to practice, the guys quickly got to work in demonstrating the dynamics involved in drifting, which in a nutshell is putting the the vehicle into a controlled slide and maintaining this throughout the entire Wallerfield racetrack.

The usual faces were present, Rajiv in his S13, Brad and his C33 as well as Devon in the infamous Toyota Supra (gawd damn that car). Newcomer Debi-Ann in her Skyline R34 decided to give it a go, we definitely would love to see that car participate in future drift motion events.

Now special mention must be given to Mr. Jerome Emmanuel in his SR20 powered 910 bluebird, who consistently shows improvement at every practice and competition. Back in 2013 i distinctly remember Jerome having difficulty getting past the first few clipping points, but now he is a force to be reckoned with as he was roasting the chicane part of the course, much to the delight of the folks gathered in the pits. Many of course remember when he was an actual beginner, back when Drift Motion was held at the Arima Race club car park.

The next event in the Championship series is carded for the 22nd May, 2016 to be held right at Wallerfield. We will be most present to bring you exciting images of the day’s activities.
