TTKA Kart Racing Event #4 2020

The 2020 TTKA championship continues to produce some stunning class battles as drivers battle it out tooth and nail for podium positions and points.   The 4th round of the championship was held under wet and tricky conditions at the Frankie Boodram Wallerfield International Raceway.

In the Cadet class, Naomi Garcia was once again the day’s overall champion winning 2 of 3 races. Young Adam Mustapha managed to wrestle away a win on the day to claim his maiden victory in Karting. No doubt the talent in this class will produce some future racing stars.

The Sportsman class produced 3 different winners, however the overall honors went to a driver whom did not fly the checkered flag on the day. Despite Shane Sheppard, Rylie Ramroop and Scott Wortman all winning on the day, Rossi Lochan took home the top spot with a consistent 2nd place in each race.

Christopher Ramnauth & Justyn Kanta-Persad scrapped it out throughout the day  with some neck and neck battles. Ramnauth finished with 2 wins to be crowned the overall Rotax International winner while Kanta-Persad won the other.

Barry ‘Bim’ Rostant put on a stellar display to blow away the competition in the Sportsman Masters class.  Winning 2 of the 3 races Rostant maintained his lead to win by almost 1/4 lap over his closest competitor. Current class championship leader Nick Gomes was also consistent on the day and managed to win 1 race. 3rd overall went to the rapidly improving Mark Bartlett who also captured his maiden spot on the podium.

With the 2 wins on the day Christopher Ramnauth now leads the overall championship table with 162 points, Naomi Garcia sits in 2nd just 6 points behind. Nick Gomes rounds out the top 3 with 137 points.
