TTRC 2013 – Bronte Blowout

TTRC 2013 – Bronte Blowout

The 4th installment of the TTRC championship took place on one of the many configurations of the Bronte course. Starting under the threat of rain and then into a scorch fest by mid afternoon, the dust became not only a problem for the competitors, but spectators and media alike.

Cristian Bourne, with co-driver Jesu de Gannes suffered the only retirement of the day with a roll less than a minute into the 7th stage, both ok. No suprises at the top however, as Bajan turned Trini, James Betts and navi Jason Costelloe, sweeped top honours again in class and overall. It was revealed that Mr. Betts had space issues with his ever expanding trophy collection, and as such has taken up a permanent residence here in TnT.

We have a break for Teams heading to contest Rally Barbados 2013 and we wish them good luck. Rally Tobago was supposed be to the next event, but has now been moved to be the finale for this season, a position it held the first year the rally was hosted in the sister isle. Time to pack a suitcase….!
