TTRC Rally Special Stages 1 2024

The Trinidad & Tobago Rally Club launched its 2024 Special Stages season last weekend on Sunday 19th May with a Rally up the scenic St. Michael’s Road in Tacarigua.

The action was fast and tight as mere seconds separated teams in the battle on the technical stage.

The event was the first for the club at this stunning location. 10 teams registered, 9 met at the start clock, one team unable to make it on the day. Four different classes were constituted for the event.

At 11:00am the sound of anti-lag and the smell of race fuel filled the atmosphere.

The first car off the line was the overall winner and Group-A champions on the day, the team of Craig Sumair & Dillon Ali in the Pioneer sponsored Evo 9.

Second overall and second in Group-A was our Suriname/Trini team of Radj Pershad and Mukesh Mallian.

Group-4 Class honours were taken by Siddeeq Chowtee with an excellent drive on the day.

SM-4 Class winners were Ishmael and Feraz Khan in the boost popping Toyota Starlet.

Group-2 Class was won by the impressive Khalid Jahore in his Honda CRX.

The TTRC thanks its Officials, Marshals, Teams and supporters, with a special appreciation to the Tunapuna Piarco Regional Corporation, with gratitude to Mr. Asim Alimayu and Councillor Ms. Desiree DeFreitas. As well as the Forestry Division and their team.

The event was sponsored by PBS Technologies, Caribbean Bottlers, Massy Machinery and Shell Lubricants.

TTRC’s next Special Stages event is the third edition of the Tobago Hill-Climb Festival 9th – 11th August 2024.
