RaceTrac Wheels and StreetWise Auto Centre presents Xtreme Autofest- the 1st all in one motorsport event.
On the weekend of the 22nd and 23rd April Wallerfield International Raceway came alive for this motorsport medley. Kicking the event off on Saturday was the ever so popular Drag and Wind styled Time Attack where the top corner of the Raceway was creatively used to hold two lanes for the twisty-turning TA course. This TA competition consisted of six classes- OPEN, 47s, 48s, 50s, 51s and 51s+. Fastest time of the day went to Nicholas Mooloo in the DynoLab WRX, a time of 44.117s and best reaction time to Pritam Persad in his AWD B14 2.0 Turbo- 0.057s.
As the Time Attack competition came to end all efforts were transitioned to the other end of the Raceway where the drag racing would now take place until 2am- well maybe slightly earlier since mechanical failures of competition vehicles caused oil spills on BOTH lanes of the drag strip.
On Sunday the action returned for the Car Show/Drift Competition and Sound off- results of these will be posted soon.
