whats gonna happen to the Clerks attached with those places who were placed by service comission?
would they be replaced into other public offices?

the Gov't is creating a new agency the Trinidad and Tobago Revenue Authority (TTRA) apparently the initial thoughts were to just absorb the current employees of the BIR and Customs, but now they will/have been offered VSEP and then will be rehired by the TTRA same as was done by some who moved from the Min of Health over to the RHAs
It's a nice way to weed out who they don't want

AFAIK VSEP can't be forced upon any employee. It's merely a way of reducing staff numbers by ofeering people a chance to retire with some compensation. All this exercise entails is that now BIR/Customs will fall under this TTRA agency.

anyhow, I heard that they paying off 3,000,000 to 2,000 employees, thas only $1500,00. it have to be goin according to years of service, so then some pple gettin next to nuttin.

obviously most of the temp clerks will be gone. anyhow, psa meeting or something tuesday I heard, they will know what goin then.

that is for who worked there most of thier lives. $175,000, by the time you pay off 20 senior people it dosent have anything for the others.
what will a clerk who make 6-7 years of service get? next to nothing...they might have to spend more in passage to come & collect it.

they are saying that people who have worked there will get to apply to work in the new rev. auth. but there are people in tobago & mayaro that work in branches of BIR so right there they get phase out.
