Rally Trinidad 2012 – Mayor’s Cup at Saith Park
The Rally finished with the remaining competitors putting on a show for the Mayor of Chaguanas, in the ever popular Mayor’s Cup in Saith Park. The short 1.4km tarmac super special was packed to a capacity crowd, and of course it was donut time to bring Rally Trinidad 2012 to a fitting close. Jeffrey Panton deftly powered through the streets of Chaguanas to win the Mayor’s Cup with the fastest time and received his award from the Mayor His Worship Orlando Nagessar.
Rally Trinidad 2012 – Start @ National Stadium
From the Friday evening opening in the Hasely Crawford Stadium, one could see the hype was building, and service park area was full of life with some of the best Rally machinery in the Caribbean today. John Powell’s WRC Subaru S14 (Shell Helix / Intercontinental Shipping) was hot topic as it was compared to the visiting competition of Jamaican’s Jeffrey Panton (Ford Focus WRC06 – Total Lubricants) and Gary Gregg (Ford Focus WRC05), and the ever formidable Bajan opposition of Sean Gill’s Suzuki SX4 WRC06 (Shell V-Power / Monster / Lifestyle Motors / Virgin Atlantic).
Solodex 1 2012
CARS kicked off its first competition event for 2012 on March 4 at the Arima Race Club parking lot, with the kind assistance of sponsors TriniTuner.com and Abraham Distributors Ltd. New rules were voted in during the drivers briefing, which will certainly increase competition and excitement in the upcoming 2012 competition season.
Autosport Drag and Time Attack 4
FIAT provided their sporty Fiat Bravo 1.4 Turbo to run in competition, ably driven by Solodex multiple-Championship winner, Devendra Nath. And this he did in style pushing the showroom-stock Fiat around the course to the delight of the many patrons, and surprise of the competitors. With a little suspension tweaking and a minimum of more competitive tyres, Devi is convinced that this can be a sleeper with winning potential.
San Fernando Grand Prix 2010
In 1986, Trinidad & Tobago was treated to a spectacle of Motorsport that many remember as one of the greatest events they ever witnessed. The effect was such that spectators rushed on to the roads and racing had to be stopped after the second race. So great was their passion for seeing the streets of San Fernando alive with the glorious sound of full race machines at full throttle.

Solodex 5
This 5th Solodex championship event of the year, the ever expanding classes of racers showed up eager to out-drive each other in order to win the valuable 100 points that could secure them the Class title or catapult them to be a championship contender. This occasion was also one of the best-supported events for the 2010, with some 40 plus competitors stepping up to the starting line to have their shot at victory. The adrenaline was pumping as one by one each driver took on the tightly wound course hoping to get the better of their closest competitor.
