TEAM: Buy Me Auto Sales/ Banks Beer

CAR: Mazda Miata

Starting life the traditional way at the rookie level, he quickly climbed through the rank, moving up to the group 2 level where he picked up champion driver awards. His love for the sport and thirst for competitiveness pushed him into the group 3 division where he also dominated the classes of rotaries. Still not satisfied, he opted to play with big boys in group four, the crème de le crème of Caribbean motor sport, and ended runner up to the 2014 Champion at the SeaBoard Marine CMRC level. He is highly resourceful both on and off the track, adapts quickly to changing conditions making him very hard to keep at bay.

A second generation racer in a family of sportsmen and women, the young man has always destined for greatness. TEAM: Motor Trend Auto Spares and Repairs / Rohan Auto Spares

Car: Toyota Starlet

Commencing on the black top in the quarter mile in 2010, he quickly found a love for the circuit aspect of the competition. He joined a year later at the rookie category before picking up the champion driver award later and developed his starlet into a group two machine that often times proved its ability on the track. He picked up the overall champion driver trophy earlier this year at a local endurance event, showing his ability to adapt over formats. He makes his maiden voyage in the SeaBoard Marine CMRC this year and brings with him the ability to get the jump on competitors from the get go.

Car: Toyota Starlet

Starting off at the drag racing track, he picked up several King of the Modified starlet titles before moving into the rookie class in the circuit arena. He elevated himself to the group 2 division and it paid off well after he was crowned the 2013 champion in that division. He has now elevated to the Group 3 and is no newcomer to the regional circuit having toured both Jamaica and Barbados. His optimism and ability to read a situation in a flash are key factors on track.

RAMEEZ MOHAMMED

TEAM: B.M Soat Auto Sales / Prem’s Electrical / Truck Masters

CAR: Toyota Levin

Starting out at the age of 17 in the rookie class, Mohamed quickly advanced his way to the top of that class before moving into the Group 2 Division with his Toyota starlet. His talent would not let him settle and eventually the lure of competitive driving returned him from a hiatus to the track in Group 3, where he dominated in 2014. Virtually a newcomer to the SeaBoard Marine CMRC as he entered this year, he is not to be taken lightly. He knows his way around a car and is a very resilient driver to race against.

RYAN RAHAMAN

TEAM: JR Burgers / Silhouette Restaurant / Altitude Bar

CAR: Ford Escort

Beginning his career at the quarter mile stretch, he quickly moved into the circuit fold at the turn of the millennium in Group 2, winning on debut. Starting from the bottom, he worked his way through the field with his “Corkball” escort, dominating with a normally aspirated engine. Rahaman was on the podium at the Wallerfeild in 2001, his maiden international tour in Group 2. He has 4 liens on the Gavin Narine Memorial Trophy (2002, 2003, 2004 & 2006) and has picked up the Champion driver in Barbados for the 2002/2003 season on debut there. He upped to Groups 3&4 with a Ford Sierra with much success but damage sustained due to an accident led to the sidelining of the car. However, He returns to hunting with his father’s escort and joins the CMRC for his first full tour.  He is as consistent and calculating as they come. His ability to apply pressure and hold his own under pressure enables him to be a force on the track.

KEMAL RAHAMAN

kemal

TEAM: JDM Engine World / N&L Auto Repair

CAR: Nissan Sentra

The One handed wonder as he is commonly nicknamed has been wow-ing crowds at the South Dakota Circuit for a while now. He began his career in 2001 driving with only one hand. He had lost in hand in a meat grinder at the age of 6 but that never stopped him from producing breathtaking drives. He has had podium finishes in groups 2,3 and 4, making him one of the most diverse drivers in the sport at the moment. This year, he makes his debut in the SeaBoard Marine CMRC. His differently-abled style has left many jaws dropped, but he matches and outpaces even the best at times.
