first if you want to use r134,you have to change the oil in the comp.you have to use r134 compatible oil,which is a synthetic polylol ester oil,then get a drier for r134,and the fittings for the comp,but you can keep your r12 fittings because you can use normal hoses to charge the r134 into your comp,but you must label accordingly,vacuum the system and charge the system.or you can go the cheaper and just as effective route and leave the r12 mineral oil in the system and vacuum and charge with r 415b refrigerant,use a new drier also.
