Unless Madrid are willing to revamp their entire defence, Casillas needs to GTFO...
Almost all of the goals, bar the first maybe, were due to stupid defending...and even the first was stupid given the RB's flailing bicycle kick...

He may be loyal to Madrid, but if Real don't invest big time at the back, Casillas will be constantly fighting a losing battle...Shay Given learnt the hard way, and it took one of the potentially best GK's in the world 10-15 years to realise that and leave Newcastle...

not going to happen. casillas and raul are two players that will retire at madrid, of that you can be certain. it was painful watching that game and knowing the title rested on that result. ramos can be a great RB(although he started off in the centre a few seasons ago) but he tends to make ridiculous defensive mistakes that cost madrid.

in the summer, madrid need to source a young and talented LB, a CB to replace cannavaro who may leave at the end of the this season to finish his career in italy and a winger. madrid only has one natural winger so that is a bit of a priority. as much as i like ronaldo as a player, i was always against madrid's pursuit of him. way too much money to spend on one player who may not necessarily fit the system. $100m down the drain when there are many other issues that need to be fixed. i've been pleased with the work that ramos has done since taking over and he should be given another season to actually build his team. if they invest properly in the summer, madrid can do much better next season.

after yesterdays dispatching of Real like if they were a B team in la liga, i don't blame him for saying what he did.

Infamous, agreed completely...if nothing serious is done about the defence though its unfortunate that someone like Casillas will end up with little to show at the end of what could be a glittering career...Raul is near the end of his career, but at 27 Casillas hasn't even entered his prime years for a goalkeeper...

Similar to Del Piero and Buffon in a sense, who chose to stay with Juve when they went down...contrast to Ibramo and Cannavaro who chose to leave right away to keep their careers in the spotlight...

Staying at a club is very admirable...but as a Casillas fan and not a Real fan, i hope he leaves if RM don't buck up defensively...

BTW i wouldn't put much faith in Ramos...he had money to spend at Spurs, and wasted most of it...2 points in 10 games for a club of their stature and players...not acceptable...its one thing to rebuild fom the ground up, its another to dig holes into the foundation...Ramos failed at both, and the only thing keeping Real in second is the inconsistency of the teams behind them and the fact that they have a good attack against La Liga's generally poor defense...

I believe it was said before...but either way i'm sure it was influenced by RM not passing the second round in the UCL again...

i never quite understood what happened with ramos. he did well in la liga, went to tottenham and won the carling cup, they finished just outside the top ten and then things just seemed to go downhill quickly. he sold defoe, berbatov and keane and brought in dos santos, modric and pavlyochenko(who are by no means adequate replacements) and seemed to bank his entire attack on bent(who was having a solid pre season). once the season started tottenham were just poor and the whole controversy with his refusal to learn and speak english just seemed to aggravate the situation. he then moves to madrid, loses the first clasico(which was expected given the circumstances) and then goes on a huge winning streak and closes the gap on barca. he's either a genius in la liga but not cut out for the prem or he is just lucky to be in the circumstances he is in.

given his performance this season, do you think they should extend his contract or still look for a new manager?

Honestly these two teams are NOT scared of each other, regardless of their current form. Both can score in each others yard regardless of home or away. There is NO home ground advantage when these two teams meet.
I however see ManU coming out on top and advancing to the finals.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has promised his side will produce a "magnificent" team display to overcome Manchester United on Tuesday night.

Arsenal trail United 1-0 going into the second leg of their Champions League semi-final at the Emirates Stadium.

"I am very confident the team will produce a magnificent performance and that we will manage it," said Wenger.

they'll need a vast improvement from that last match

well goal wins games and as soon as Chelsea goes on the attack they becomes subseptable at the back. Barca's will punish them badly. Apparently Manu is the only one of the top 4 BPL clubs with something that resembles a defense so Chelsea better hope they can score more goals than they conceed.

I honestly believe Wenger have too much faith in players that fail to perform
Arsene need to recognise that there are player that are not up to level he wish for them, men like Bentner, Sagna and Denilson needs to go. Even veterans like Toure and Gallas looks tired on the pitch,
Well i guess well see what happen come later today.

buying is not the problem keeping them off the injury list is

^^ that's were i have disagree. if Wenger had the option of choosing a midfield from every one on his payroll then Arsenal will have a far more menacing midfield than Manu. But that is not the case and i fear will not be the case in the near future

you disagree with what? you're rather ambiguous - you don't agree that man utd have a better midfield this season than arsenal??? RIGHT. i'm not a man utd fan, but their midfield has been a key part of their success of lately.

sorry but cesc and nasri are NOT cutting it... time for the voyeur to stop playing with little boys

^^ manu midfield is better this season but to say Arsenal midfield is crap compared to Manu is wrong. You can say that there attack is crap compared to Manu that i will conceed.

Nasri and Cesc is not cutting it because Vela, Bentner and Adebayol not hitting the target when they are fed the ball.

dmitc,

1sigh, their midfield lacks EXPERIENCE. you will see it in today's game. if man utd loose i'll put my foot in my mouth otherwise, even though i DO hope that something goes in arsenal's favour and they win.

you're looking at cesc and nasri vs. carrick, scholes, giggs, ronaldo, park, anderson, nani... and you're telling me arsenal's midfield is as good? wake up man, wake up...

i only named those two boys, cos the rest are epic failures
