Possibly, many ways to skin a cat right?
Israel cuts off humanitarian essentials like water to Gaza to have their people released.
Hamas cuts off essential supplies to their own people when they dig up water pipes and use funds given to them for desalination plants to make rockets , deprive their population of things like diesel and sugar to power their weapons/fuel, destroys initiatives like greenhouses and technology transfer that allowed israel to be self sufficient in a barren desert and weaponizes people's hunger against their neighbors because their beliefs tells them the apocalypse begins when Jews are wiped off the earth.

Or perhaps Israel likes to give warnings before they bomb innocent civilians while Hamas likes to build their tunnels and bunkers around their beloved civilians and key infrastructure. Or launch rockets from the roof of a hospital.
I mean it's hard work to stop being terrorists towards Israel and their own country by restoring the hostages, and at least cool the flame and allow people time to leave if they don't wish to be a part of the horrors to come. But no, they are asking people to give their souls and their blood in this effort.
Meanwhile the population in gaza continues to grow unabated into destitution. Some here are quite vocal about the people who live in the worst conditions and choose to have the most amount of children knowing fully well what they will have to face. But you need an army to feed the resistance efforts against your oppressors.
I have a bridge to sell you if you think hamas cares about palestinians.
Israel said for the 1m Gazans to move south, for the impending military operation .
Un already said that is impossible to do, so u Will have more civilian deaths in the 10's to 100's of thousands.
Israel is using the Hamas excuse to kill Palestinians. A more extreme version of how they evict Westbank Palestinians, and settle in their properties.
If Isreal can target the hamas actors snd get out, well at least.
But its not a fight against terrorism, it s thinly veiled extermination to grab all the land

Less than 300 km to the East, Damascus, Syria, has a population density of 57,550 people/km² -- more than ten times the population density.
There is plenty of space.

That is extreme
If was 50/50 occupation of Palestine by both Palestine and Isreal, i would agree that that should be monitored
But given that Isreal occupies the vast majority of Palestine, thst is a manifesto of resistance to an occupation force.

No but you could be rational and go on with life like the endless descendants of people's to whom it's occurred to including the Jewish people on a multitude of occasions.

They however didn't force martrydom on their own children by provoking holy wars or developed and inculcated ideaologies in which they declared an eternal enemy, until which as long as it remains in existence, their purpose and faith won't come full circle.
People make the mistake of assuming Hamas and their supporters are rational people that can be reasoned with. A dead child killed in collateral damage is a martyr in a holy cause and enjoys the benefits in the afterlife in their eyes.
Ali Baraka himself this week explaining the attack, Hamas' strategy was convincing Israel that Hamas focus was on governing the 2.5Million Palestinians in Gaza. What does that tell you? These people don't give a damn about the welfare of anyone in Gaza, only their cause and if the beliefs of the people themselves are the same as their leaders, well.....
