How do you mean a man doesn't buy a gun to kill himself and depression and a gun = other dead people.

You mean to tell me no one in this world ever bought a gun to kill themselves? Or that every depressed person with a gun is a threat to other people? Do some research, gather your statistics then post things like this. You must be a professional psychologist!

And he was an intelligent person and premeditated his death, deciding his method to kill himself. Based on another victim of depression and suicide that he related to, a gun was his choice as that person also used a gun. Not all indians drink gramazone (sp) when they are suicidal!

RIP my brother in *BSD, one of my closest friends and the father of my beautiful god daughter. Thanks for all of the well wishers, I want to assure you that his legacy will be well looked after, and she will lead as full a life as she deserves. If the family permits, I will share information in regard to the funeral arrangements as soon as they are finalized and communicated to me.

I understand your pain "S.W"......but honestly the "not all indians drink gramazone" when they are suicidal thing was kinda outta time...

If you ask people to respect the fact of your pain and the pain of your family, please do give some respect on this public forum... based on your "post" about doing research, im sure not ONLY indian people drink gramazone....and honestly such a statement was REALLY uncalled for.

I apologise for that and it's uncalled for. I was just pointing out that steriotyping is not to be applied to every situation. Just as that is a stereotype that is inaccurate, likewise the one about guns.

when police do a ballistic test on that weapon, your beloved brother could be blamed for countless firearm related murders and shootings?...unless he was a licensed firearm owner and the weapon used was his!.....and likely not!

so clear the air on the weapon, was it his or an illegal weapon?

does it really matter if the gun was legal or not? i personally know stephan from back in the day he was a year below me in st anthonys always a cool kid. its never an easy thing when a person takes their life and i am speaking from experience. in the end all that matters is that the living are taken care of where he has gone none of us here can venture untill our time. RIP my friend i hope you may find happiness.

When i noticed this thread set up by turbo i got the impression the
intent was to pay respects and to express condolences.
I personally did not know the young man who passed under these
unfortunate circumstances but none the less felt and continue to
feel very upset about this loss.
I fully understand where paz is coming from and do feel disturbed
when others feel it necessary to focus on all kinds of negatives.
However, when something like this gets in the public domain what
is going to happen is stuff which is indicative of the positive and
negative nature of our society is going to surface.
I do believe that grief is a very personal experience and individuals
who are going through this at this time should avoid public pressures. You
need your quiet personal time to heal.
In this vein i will even suggest that stephansister avoid exchanges
which could cause further pain and anguish.

yes it does!!!

that weapon could have killed innocent law abiding citizens, not to mention it could have been used against your family members!..What would you have said then?

if you don't like what i said, then ask Duane to remove it.

Ok so where is the gun now not in the posession of the police? If it was indeed used in anything illegal it will be investigated. I just don't see how the weapon being illegal bears any relevance to the passing of someone and the loss of life. Any smart person knows a firearm can be purchased for a small fee in this country. All I'm saying is let it go an pay your respects if you have none no harm no foul. Peace.

I don't even know why this thread ended back up here *stewps*

Death is death, regardless of by whose hands is it dispensed. Whether you thought he was a cool dude or not, any self-respecting human being would not speak ill of the dead.
SW clearly was battling his own demons and felt there was no other way out, this is NOT for us to decide or discuss since any points raised would be moot anyway...the deed has already been done.

However, the bottom line is that regardless of character, someone is grieving, someone suffered a loss, someone's hurting really bad right now, despite what some of you may think of the man.
Let's not lose sight of that.

If you know of anyone who may be thinking of taking their own life, do your part to help find other paths out of despair. Don't let them go down this road. I'm sure you won't be having a fun time fending off negative comments as seen in this thread.

^^ Best post up until about there.

Some people i've known can harbor these thought's... Totally agree with help others whom are depressed. But there will always have people who talk and have little or no tax on what is said online or off.

Once again rip SW and condolences to all.

I highly doubt Stephan would have killed other people with that gun. Only problem is if its used, any previous murdered related to it by someone else, is blamed on the last holder. But saying "Could have or Would have killed" makes no sense, bcuz IT CANT now.

I was never great friends with weaver. But he had good character. Although we raced agaisnt each other with "honda vs nissan" they guy was a pretty honest and hardworking.

I didnt know him well but one day a couple yrs ago i was on my way to an interview in diego when i got a flat tyre, i was in my "bess" clothes and forgot my wheel spanner home. Weaver was the only one i knew from that area at the time and i called him to lend me a spanner...he actually left his job and when he reached he actually jacked up my car AND change my tyre for me....the man didnt want my interview clothes to get messy!!! i wasnt even the man friend, jus a racing accomplice!

RIP BRO! wish you didnt choose this way....
