So was taking a gander at some groups on WhatsApp and came across this....

Anyone aware of this bill being passed / coming into effect?

Akeem block the name but leave the address and DP# ????

Will look out in my mailbox.
I pass some police the odder day and when I watch I was over 100 (115-120 kinda thing) but was not stopped further down the highway.

Interesting that the offence occurred on July 6th but the ticket was printed on August 7th

The fact that's it's online on their database means it's a legit entry and the photo is real.
This could either be a demo or an actual ticket sent to that person.

The ticket should have also stated the legal zone speed and the actual speed of the vehicle recorded by the instrument.

the ticket is a demo, on another note that exceeding the limit by 1-9kmph seems questionable, doesn't the speedgun (handheld at least) have a +/- 3kmph margin of error IIRC? If so wouldn't anything under 4kmph over the limit be moot?

Ask Dom, “It doesn't matter whether you win by an inch or a mile, winning is winning.”, same for the Police, you over and they catch you.

Also this new electronic system of cameras, sensors and electronic ticketing will be to the numbers. Electronics have no discretion.

assuming this is from a speed camera perhaps if there's hundreds of tickets to confirm & print so timeframe from capture to print could be a few weeks

It's +/- 2kmph but that is for the handheld device. No data on fixed systems; haven't researched them yet.

What I trying to figure out is how that system identifying vehicles on a multi lane roadway when there is only one camera

https://newsday.co.tt/2019/08/07/viral- ... cket-demo/

A SOCIAL media post featuring a traffic ticket allegedly received via mail is a demo. Works and Transport Minister Rohan Sinanan confirmed to Newsday today that Government hasn't yet begun mailing traffic tickets to violators.

He said the ministry had a meeting today with about 150 stakeholders including the Judiciary, the police and TTPost. He suggested the viral post may have stemmed from that meeting, even though the ministry had requested attendees to keep the information confidential. He added that the aim is to have the process implemented by the end of September or October.

The plan to mail tickets for traffic violations, including breaking stop lights and speeding, was first announced last December by Attorney General Faris Al-Rawi and was supposed to have been implemented since February. Al-Rawi had said then that this system would help clear up to 140,000 traffic offences cases in the magistrates' court leaving magistrates to do magistrates' work. When the system is fully implemented, violators will also be able to pay their traffic tickets via the online CourtPay portal.

I see the ticket is a demo. ^^ No matter how hard I try I cross 50kmph like nothing...when I look its at 52 or 55. Highway the 100 is no issue. Wrightson Rd. is 65 if I recall which is not bad.
