There’s a full electric Kia Niro that was released in Europe that gives substantial better mileage over the Electric Ionia, however based on the price of that I don’t think it will be too popular here. Want to see what happens when all those foreign used Hybrids start running into trouble with No dealer support... should be interesting to see who can repair them.

They are not hard to repair, service or diagnose. Remember when cars with ECU and fuel injection came out everybody use to be like "wait till you start to get problems, I want to see what you go do"

I have a Niro two Prius, two ioniqs an axio and a new fielder, all hybrids all repaired by me. There are also trained technicians who are very capable. Just this weekend I rebuilt a battery and one of them charged it up for me. The parts are also available locally and in the US. There are used batterys a ailable from cars with very low mileage at low prices. Recently i went to Virginia and got parts off brand new cars that were used in crash tests with zero mileage. It's all about doing research and taking the mystery out of it.

If anybody have weak cells to give away I interested

I have a powerlab charger which I use for radio control planes
it can charge any battery(nimh, lithium) and I see a lot of hybrid battery guys using them to recondition and test batteries.

Very well said. Plenty local guys to complacent to learn more, oOn the other hand, there are some overambitious and overbright mechs who want your car to be patient zero for them to experiement.

Unless their is a hybrid fielder then you talking about two enyirely different vehicles... depending on what u want features and fuel efficiency wise Niro is better... price wise fielder is better i think a new fully loaded Niro is 233k i think... a fielder... i think... is only available foreign used... so the cost would be much much less... if u want to compare the Niro against another vehicle u should compare it against the Subaru XV or Vezel... all vehicles i think are Hybrid... price wise Vezel is the cheapest... however it is only available foreign used... Subaru XV has the most features as well as 4x4 drive (i thinj) but it has the highest price... maybe upwards of 300k... trinituner has a website with new car prices u can go there and find up to date new car prices in TnT... also use cars.com to do some comparisons across vehicles... keep in mind your budget... in this time... where the job market is uncertain... buying a new car... imo is foolish... u may feel a way about it but stick in your lane... buy what u can afford

The Toyota system is simpler . Easier to deal with if something goes wrong m. There are two types of batteries in the Hyundai / Kia , they are harder to charge / repair . The Toyotas you get all over the Bamboo and cells are also available easier . The Niro if new will be covered under the warranty . The Fielder is cheaper to maintain and parts are easier . So all in all the fielder might be a better choice . If it's Hybrid to Hybrid you're comparing . If it's the regular Fielder , you have no issues .

But there are no taxes on full electric vehicles up to a certain range!!

You probably need to say lift tariffs on very powerful electric vehicles.

"Over 159 kW there is VAT to be paid. Below 159kW, there is no VAT and no MVT. Between 159-179 kW, there is full VAT and MVT @ $10/kW due to Customs. Above 179kW, it’s pretty much the full hit with respect to MVT, Duty and VAT"

But its stupid to tax full electric vehicles regardless of their power ratings... we really are not serious about going green at all.

Can't please people at all nah. You getting a tax free car up to a certain engine rating. You living in a country with limited highways and a max speed limit of 100km/h on the highways that do exist.

Why should all electric vehicles be totally tax free?
