And after elections you see people repeating it over and over to any argument, the smallest of discussions or disagreements. I'm seeing it all over now. Even as replies to that Ramsaran woman (How does that even make sense?)

Once the PNM get away with their crimes, no matter the sufferation of the people, at whatever cost, these people chanting and waving that slogan as a mantra. A boast that assures their supposed superiority on these platforms that "great is the PNM" over and over.

Seems like cult behaviour to me. No way these sort of people ever thinking outside the box.
True ....I wonder the same thing.
Idk if its trolling or sarcasm to make ppl or parties mad.Its like ' ent yuh build on the river bank?' Or something like that.

Talks by who? If the dollar is devalued we might see the end of forex woes, that's why certain sectors have been advocating for it since Sept 2015, there are individuals who used the changes in forex allocations/sales to convert their largesse to $US and are waiting for devaluation to make a profit on the back end

Was there a Covid cover-up before election? - Kamla

United National Congress (UNC) political leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar says heads must roll for the Covid-19 health crisis that has hit the country post election.

She questioned whether there was a plot to hide the true impact of the deadly virus to hold the general election.

"Was the T&T population deliberately and disturbingly lulled into a false sense of security by the Rowley Government and Health technocrats as to the true incidence of Covid-19 positive cases before the General Elections? Was there a cover-up plot among these officials?" she asked.

Persad-Bissessar stated that since January, the Rowley Government "falsely claimed" they had a pandemic plan, and belatedly closed our borders.

"Their sham, inadequate testing policy then failed every possible international standard. Still, they kept insisting that there was no community spread and very low incidence of Covid positive cases. Citizens believed them and were falsely convinced that they were safe to resume their daily activities," she stated.

Persad-Bissessar added that the Rowley Government alone had access to, and control over, the true statistics and data of the Covid-19 spread in T&T.

"Yet, they bluntly refused to come clean with the population at every possible turn," she stated.

"Then, PM Rowley called an election during this deadly pandemic, a decision ONLY HE could have made. Now, just one week later, we are in a clear, possibly uncontrollable health crisis and another lockdown. Indeed, heads must roll!," stated Persad-Bissessar..

She stated further that it was not surprising that the Rowley Government chose to put its political agenda before the lives and safety of citizens in this truly disturbing debacle.

Persad-Bissessar questioned why the health technocrats stayed silent.

"But what is the excuse of the Health Ministry’s technocrats? They are the ones who are entrusted with the sacred responsibility of protecting citizens’ health and lives without fear or favour. It is they, therefore, who should have stood up against the political directorate in the interest of protecting the people of this country," she stated.

"It is they who should have told us the truth. This remains their mandate. We, the people, at least deserve to know why it has come to this dangerous state of affairs, where the lives, health and safety of an entire population are now compromised and endangered. We need answers now!" she continued.

Persad-Bissessar in a Facebook post noted that Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley on Saturday "belatedly announced new lockdown measures".

She criticised the move stating it came as the number of Covid-19 positive cases keeps alarmingly and dramatically increasing on a daily basis and more people are also tragically dying.

She also noted that Rowley warned that there is no more money to fund another shutdown, after accessing $20 billion from the Treasury during the last one. "This truly frightening situation now gives rise to a very serious issue of public interest," she stated. As T&T now braces for the surge, she urge everyone to please take all precautions and follow all health regulations to protect yourselves and others from Covid-19 at all costs.

Kamla is getting really annoying now.

Allyuh feel is race?

I am a chinee indian and i dont want to hear anything about UNC until Kamla is removed and they get their act together.

PNM is generally sheit in my books, but they are a more stable and mature party than the UNC.

Yet every count was signed off by the UNC agent.

Yet 4 out of 5 of the recounts are done with no change in the result.

Where is the proof?

The only good election is an election that the UNC won.

“This strategy of also demonising the EBC as working for the PNM is disingenuous. When we won the local election the EBC was not under attack and how come now when we lost the general election, the EBC is a PNM. These games must stop.”
