Angry that his ex-lover rejected his request to reconcile, a man is said to have sexually assaulted the 28-year-old woman with a hot pepper.

According to a police report, around 5:30 pm on Wednesday, the woman went to visit her ex-boyfriend at his South Oropouche home because it was his birthday. The two met and reportedly had a few alcoholic beverages.

The victim said she and her ex-boyfriend then left that residence in his vehicle. He reportedly asked her to plait his hair, which she did.

The woman told police her ex then asked her to rekindle their relationship, but she refused. In a fit of rage, the man is said to have physically assaulted her, in addition to rubbing a hot pepper in her genital area and inserted it into her body.

The woman said she demanded that her ex take her home and as she came out of the vehicle, she raised an alarm. The man drove off.

She was treated at the Point Fortin Area Hospital and discharged.

Oropouche police are investigating.

Penal Man to Appear in Court for Stolen Tyres

A Penal man will appear before a San Fernando Magistrate on Monday 8th March, 2021, charged with receiving stolen items.

RIAZ ALI received bail in the sum of $50,000 from Justice of the Peace Boodlal Balkaran on March 5th, 2021.

On Thursday 4th March, 2021, a proprietor made a report at the San Fernando Fraud Squad, in which he alleges that during the period March 1st, 2021 and March 4th, 2021, a customer who gave his name as “Micheal” placed an order for 30, 11 R truck tyres, 26, 295 truck tyres and four 12 R truck tyres altogether valued at $106,499.88.

The items were dropped off at the discussed location and the proprietor received payment via two cheques. The cheques were deposited into the business account and both cheques were discovered to be fraudulent.

Through the investigative work of the San Fernando Fraud Squad, Sgt Seepersad, PC Thompson and a party of officers proceeded to Ramdeensingh Drive, Calcutta No 1, Couva.

Upon entering the compound Sgt Seepersad identified himself and proceeded to look around the compound where he observed a quantity of stacked tyres fitting the description given by the proprietor, secured on the left side of a garage on the compound.

RIAZ ALI, 47, of Scotts Road, Penal was arrested and taken to the station where he was charged for the offence.

Westmoorings Woman Granted Bail for Fraud Offences

A 59-year-old woman was granted bail when she appeared before a Justice of the Peace (JP) on Friday 5th March, 2021, charged with two counts of fraudulent conversion and one count of larceny.

KHADIJAH ALI, of Westmoorings, was charged with fraudulent conversion amounting to $284,300 and larceny in the sums of TT$80,000 and US$2,500 when she appeared before the JP.

She was granted bail in the sum of $300,000 to cover all three charges and the matter postponed to April 5th 2021, where she would appear virtually before a Port of Spain Magistrate.

During the period May 9th 2019 and December 12th 2019, the accused was allegedly paid sums totalling $284,300 from two victims, who were made to believe that she could convert the money into US currency. Efforts by the victims to obtain the US currency or refunds proved futile. It was later discovered that the accused reportedly used the funds for her own use and benefit.

Also, between the period August 17th 2018 and August 22nd 2018, a victim allegedly paid the accused a total of $80,000 after she led him to believe that she was employed in the judiciary and was in a position to obtain bail on behalf of his daughter. When the accused failed to deliver on her promise, the victim discovered she was never in a position to access bail and. Efforts to obtain a refund of the money from the accused proved futile.

The three victims made individual reports to the Fraud Squad and an investigation was launched.

On Wednesday 3rd March, 2021, an exercise was conducted in the Port of Spain Division, under the supervision of Snr. Supt. Arlet Groome, during which the accused was arrested.

Ali was charged with the three offences by W/Cpl(Ag.) Lazarus on Friday 5th March, 2021.

41-year-old man charged with 14 counts of sexual assault against his daughter
A 41-year-old man is expected to appear before a Port-of-Spain Magistrate today charged with sexually assaulting his 17-year-old daughter.

The accused, a security guard, who resides in Laventille, was arrested and charged with 14 counts of sexual penetration of a child and one count of indecent assault by WPC Mylan-Bostic of the Port-of-Spain Child Protection Unit (CPU) yesterday.

According to police reports, the girl’s aunt made a report stating that the child’s father was allegedly sexually assaulting her.

According to the girl, while at her home, her father allegedly sexually assaulted her on several occasions. She later confided in her aunt who reported the claims to the CPU in November 2019.

Following a comprehensive investigation by the CPU, the man was charged with the offences. The case was supervised by Sgts David and Andrews and Cpl Mc Kain of the CPU.

A man chopped his wife to death and hanged himself at San Fernando on Tuesday night.

It happened at a third-floor apartment at housing building Five at Embacadere.

Three children aged seven, two and three months old witnessed the double tragedy.

A police report identified the woman as Adeina Alleyne, 36, a supervisor with Puff n Stuff, a popular bakery in San Fernando.

Neighbour told police there was an argument and then screams from the apartment around 7.30 p.m.

She collapsed in a bedroom and died.

Her husband and killer, security guard Dwight Waldropt, 37, hanged himself on a cord tied to the ventilation bricks of a washroom area of the building.

Police were told Waldropt attacked Alleyne with a chopper.

The seven-year-old son went to neighbours for assistance.

Neighbours attempted to intervene and subsequently found the female with chop wounds in the bedroom.

Alleyne's grandmother had to be taken to hospital after a suspected heart attack.

San Fernando CID, Southern Division Task Force, and Homicide investigators responded.
