Well bro, that's a whole different drama by itself but good point.

Anyway, further to what I mentioned, there was a NatSec helicopter that patrolled a great portion of our east coast on the afternoon of 3/4/21. You all can add more as you see fit.

Take note, intelligence is being gathered on our behavior, so dont be surprised if beaches are closed for a 2nd time.

I know about 10 people who had Covid including elderly folks and people with ailments..... not one death., whereas almost everyone I have ever known to have cancer had died.

I mean cancer killing everybody at every age right? Same with all the real killer diseases right? Also is there a version of these diseases where people can by asymptomatic as it is with this great hoax flu 19?

You people have been BS ed for decades with the same sheit over and over Sars , Mers , Bird Flu, Swine Flu e.t.c e.t.c over and over coming to get you and you continue to lap it up time and time again.

I personally know 4 people who have died from COVID, all abroad. They ranged from mid 40s- early 70s in age, 3 of them had co-morbidities and 1 was otherwise supposed to be healthy, and they all went down the same way, within 2-3 weeks of diagnosis.

On top of that, one of my aunts in the UK got severely ill but recovered, but still suffered with respiratory issues for more than 7 months after recovery, and she never suffered with any respiratory issues prior.

Until it hits home, keep braying like you are doing here.

Just a note that a covid death last year was anyone who died 28 days after a covid diagnosis. Doesn’t matter what you actually die from.

Other respiratory viruses are not counted like this typically you die from MI’s or pneumonia and the infectious disease is listed as a comorbidity along with your chronic diseases.

People are dyeing from covid but not in the numbers you think.

But in Trinidad here we don’t really have an issue. Survival rate is around 99-98%.

Went to maracas today after the Tobago break. Crowd wasn’t that bad, half of the people were wearing masks. Loads of police around but hardly any enforcements even with the road traffic violations.

Absolutely. The horse bolted last week. We should have at least tried to close the gate and lockdown before the Easter weekend. This is going to blow up in numbers within 2 weeks time. The public (and the government/politicians on both sides) succumbed to covid fatigue at probably the worst possible time of year.

The sheeple spouting nonsense like "plandemic" and "Bill Gates covid" didn't help either. This is gonna get ugly.

Covid doesn't spread on the beach, it spreads in the cars and maxis on the way down.

Death rate continues to stay low. So we still don’t have a problem.

Yes it does, there's literally dozens of research papers showing it. Remember, whatever out break we peak at is literally 5 to 10 times less than other temperate countries.

What we need to be concerned with is if this is the UK or Brazilian strain since those have a higher Rnaught and warm temps might not be that dampening.

Careful with using Rnaught number for a new strain. Without enough data your Rnaught will appear to be very high. Wild type SARS Cov 19 Rnaught was significantly higher than the flu at the beginning of 2020 and now it’s around the same.

it might slow it a bit but not stop it. our peak could also be less because we lockdown before those countries, some of which may have more hospital beds per capita which goes into those decisions

depends on whether the given population is immune, through vaccination or infection. most of T&T isn't. even if u multiply our cases by 10 (80000) that is less than 1/10th of the population. the R0 may be going down in countries that already vaccinated a substantial portion of their population. it doesn't just change so, without mutating or imposing a lockdown.

we went from 3 a day a month ago to 40.

Doesn't seem that bad.

We were in the same situation in Jan and back in Oct last year.

Those outbreaks were long before covid fatigue set in. It would be a mistake to try and compare last year's outbreak response to this year's.

We are within a perfect storm of: steadily increasing case numbers approaching a holiday period, a large amount of population movement, large amount of gatherings and fatigue related to measures used to control the spread of the virus.

It's a very worrying situation right now.

Jeez yall real depressing ...

The chicken little syndrome is real in this place.

Everything is doom and gloom ... We all gonna die, Case numbers rising, everyone panic, worry yada yada yada.
Case numbers rose from Oct to Nov 2020 (which BTW was a bigger spike than you seeing now 120 per day vs 40)

Then crashed down from December to March ... Tell me why did we have a reduction is cases during christmas into carnival and so on. The time of the year with loads of gatherings and case number went down.
Now yall saying Easter ... We all gonna die ...
